One of my absolute favorite games of 2026, Forbidden Solitaire, just released a meaty new DLC today! The main game effortlessly struck a balance between "this FEELS like a CD-ROM game from the mid-90's" and "this is really fun to pick up and play without the mid-90's jank". Oh, wow, just tried the demo for Echoes Of Nothing. It's a hard sci-fi fusion of Descent and Souls-like, but that's still pretty reductive. This plays like nothing else. You start out as a small space pod, salvaging parts from wrecks and transferring into intact chassis, working up the food chain.

Once again I'm telling people to play Corru.Observer - one of the coolest things ever made to be played in a browser. It is a sprawling, genre-hopping sci-fi mystery with multiple albums of soundtrack now. Excellently written, both in terms of loveable characters and speculative hard sci-fi stuff.

Another great demo. A true sandbox platformer, which starts you in a literal sandbox. You've got tons of mobility in every direction, including driving straight up walls, and Scooby Doo air-scampering across gaps. Also you are a Puppy that is also a Truck. And about an inch tall.
