Whenever I see some new UI component library being touted, the first thing I look at is the Dialog component implementation. If it's not using native HTML dialogs, I'm disappointed. They're the brown M&M's of component libraries.

I genuinely mean this. I cannot imagine a more bleak dystopian notion than the idea of all art being turned into slop designed to coddle my exact perceived intentions. The point of literature, film, music, and art is to be exposed to the interior lives of others. Who are these people.

Technology advancements should allow us to elevate our craft, and I know some people are using it to do that, but my impression of it so far is it's mostly just breeding more and more lazy assholes.

Got a new battery installed in my iPhone 13 Pro this week. Feels like a new phone. People rag on Apple but their phones have longevity. This is a 5 year old phone and it will probably last another 2-3 years before it loses OS updates (it will still get security updates beyond that).

Every programming podcast I hear these days has the same "My agent couldn't do this thing, but I did this thing so it could figure out how to do the work for me" segment, and it's just so boring. At least the comedy ones don't have anything like that yet.
