The racism that’s rampant in our rulers hurts everyone, including white nationalist separatists. Vote in a Congress that can impeach them, or at least impair them.
A 2025 Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, Omar Yaghi is the son of Palestinian refugees who grew up in Jordan. He just left the US to move to China after raising concerns about rising anti-immigrant sentiment, like the kind shown here. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/china-than...

I’d like to report a guy who asked Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to cook up "11,780 votes” so he could win the state.🙋🏻♂️
Trump: "Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Very proud of my daughter Ella’s first translation publication in a national journal! Three poems by Dominican poet, Jeannette Miller in “Latin American Literature Today.” latinamericanliteraturetoday.org/2026/09/meog...
This is not good. #ClimateChange bugs me We know what’s wrong and have the tools to make things better. Start by voting out anyone who can’t or won’t say that. If they are obstructionists, denialists, or ambivalent, they ARE the problem. Our lives and futures depend on getting this right.
2°C by 2040. That's where the trend lands if warming keeps running at its post-2011 rate of 0.39°C a decade. The CMIP6 climate models in this chart land there too We're crossing 1.5°C as we speak: 2024 cleared it, 2026 will too, and next year's record #ElNino points at 1.7°C
#ClimateChangeBugsMe Let’s do what we can to do our utmost to stop it in its tracks. We must end our subjugation to fossil fuel interests. In the next 4 weeks the most meaningful job is to choose candidates with a climate plan and vote out obstacles (including silence) to getting things done.
Climate change #adaptation strategies currently overlook childcare and aged care services, causing families and unpaid caregivers to bear the brunt of the human and economic impacts during climate-related disasters. johnmenadue.com/post/2026/10...
Important MN ballot issue. Vote Yes to increase funding to schools without affecting your tax burden. Hurts nobody and helps everyone. “Don’t leave it blank because if it’s blank, it counts as an automatic no” . . .
Part of the way Minnesota pays for its public schools is through something called a Permanent School Fund. It relies on timber and mining lease revenue from trust land.

There are plenty good ideas for fighting climate change. A life hack towards fixing the problem might be discarding ideas that aren’t likely to be of much use that keep getting trotted out as “solutions” that are more often greenwashing delaying tactics designed to protect fossil fuel interests.
Want to see what climate “non-solutions” look like? Here’s a list of weak ideas and greenwashing tricks, with the science behind why they’re not such a good idea. “Not Recommended” by Project Drawdown…. drawdown.org/explorer?cla...

Invest WISELY in a livable future starting with the priorities we face, with the technologies and methods already in our grasp, deployed to get the most bang for the buck ASAP.
We need more money focusing on climate solutions. But we also need to deploy money far better — on effective solutions, in the right timeframes, in the right geographic locations, while maximizing benefits. We can make climate funding 2x, 5x, and maybe even 10x more impactful per dollar.

We are not screwed. We can still stop the worst impacts of climate change and build a better future – if we act soon and act at scale. drawdown.org/insights/wer...
Stop burning fossil fuels. We have safer, cheaper clean energy alternatives.
Facts worth repeating: It would be cheaper to pay the ~40,000 or so people employed by the coal industry $1M a year to do nothing than to pay for the health damages (not including climate change) caused by burning coal in the U.S. publichealth.hsc.wvu.edu/news/story?h...

This week I handed the newsletter over to climate policy & politics expert Leah Stokes. She says, talking about climate change doesn't lose elections. It wins them. Read on!
Listen to Ike. His General knowledge is probably superior to that of today’s warmongers and weapons peddlers.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." -Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953
Make your plans to vote now. Make sure you’re still eligible. Thwart the ongoing and planned 47 election cheats.
Today is National Voter Registration Day — and we're less than 50 days from the midterms. The best time to check that your voter registration is up to date is right now. And remind your friends and family to do the same. This is absolutely vital. ⬇️ https://nationalvoterregistrationday.org/

We gotta do all we can to stop climate change. We also have to do all that is humanly and humanely possible to lessen the impacts of the damage we’ve caused on the world. #ClimateChangeBugsMe Do all you can where you are to fix it. In the mean time, brace yourself & protect others.
We cannot afford the kind of climate change 47’s administration is accelerating. They are literally hosing the fires that threaten life on earth by pouring gasoline on the flame. #StopTheMadness #ClimateChangeBugsMe We have the tools to make things better now. Vote out all climate enemies in Nov

President Trump, never one to pinch pennies on anything shiny and new, has spent millions of taxpayer dollars on pet construction projects around Washington, D.C. They’re not going well.
The only clear alternative is stop burning, exploring for, & refining oil & gas. Whatever combination of corruption, ineptitude, & scientific illiteracy this comes from can’t be allowed to dictate the future of life on Earth. #ClimateChangeBugsMe #StopTheMadness Vote. Act. Infinite Resistance ∞Ω

Time to freeze out ICE everywhere. #InfiniteResistance ∞Ω
ICE is silently flying hundreds of detained immigrants out of WA, separating them from their attorneys, communities, and families. Nearly 500 people have been flown out since last August, some with as little as one night’s notice. This cruelty doesn’t belong in Washington. Or our nation.
Proud of how my home state stood up for our neighbors and against the fascist thuggery of ICE and the despots that funded and directed them. #InfiniteResistance ∞Ω

If you haven’t watched Jimmy Kimmel’s interview from last night, you should. The FCC and this administration are constantly trying to squash the resistance, but the resistance always finds a way around them. They can keep trying to silence people. It isn’t working. Tomorrow there will be more of us!
