I’m also a non Palestinian but have zero difficulty in understanding what Zionism means and actually is to them.

Zionism was always about securing a Jewish state that de facto prioritises Jews over Arabs or other ethnicities. The racism was built in from the start but everyone excused it because Jewish safety was prioritised post Holocaust.
