"You can't criticize Hindenburg for appointing Hitler chancellor. To not do so would go against political norms and erode democracy. Elections are coming up. Do you want the Nazis to win?!" - Some liberals in 1933 Germany, probably

There can never be another "water under the bridge" administration ever again, and part of that is going to involve shaming everyone on board with this one - voters included - as the disgusting pig racists they are

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

If you need any further proof corporations just hate people, could you imagine an employee losing a company $20 billion in revenue, "attempted to hack government sites", etc. in a quarter and their response to that being "here is this new policy about not bully this employee?"

its feels like a mass psychosis where tech leaders continue to insist you can be cruel, mean, and hurt the feelings of lines of code

Vance: "never speak about something you don't have the full facts on" Yes, that is definitely a trademark of the Trump administration.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Do you have any reaction to a US ambassador asking someone to pay off debt in exchange for access to other government officials? VANCE: Well, so -- with that hypothetical, obviously I don't love that, but I, you know, I don't know exactly who you're talking about, I don't know the full details

I spent a year watching school administrators do their jobs—and interviewing the students most impacted. I spoke to @thecut.com in a long-form Q&A about what I saw. Mainly, a system designed to protect perpetrators and punish victims in each and every case.

Cornell University treating Gaza protestors more harshly than gang rapists is a real statement of values. It’s almost like violent domination by the powerful is the core belief of leadership.

Democrats' refusal to hold Amy Acton accountable for her recent anti-trans pivot enabled this. You cannot ask trans people to just ignore or look past stuff like this, you need to stand with us now. This gutter bigotry is unacceptable and disqualifying. Candidates like this *are* the greater evil

Holy shit. Marcy Kaptur becomes the latest Dem to release an anti-trans ad, and its worse than all the rest combined. "I voted WITH Republicans to keep transgender ideology out of schools, and let me be clear, boys should NOT play in girls sports." This is getting out of control.

This why Batman had no issue launching missles at him while driving high speeds on a civilian road, but couldn't let Joker fall off a building. Don't question Batman!

I was talking with my spouse (no BlueSky presence) about how weird it was that my focus in software engineering went from "track every decision made by who, when, and why" to "throw it into the black box and run with it." Her response that in both corporations are running away from liability was 🎯

Code doesn't do what you intend? A bug. Not intelligence. Code subverts security? An exploit. Not intelligence. Difficult to understand why the code did what it did? Obfuscation. Not intelligence. Should have nipped this nonsense in the bud when they pushed "the cloud" & "serverless architecture"
