They're talking about killing leftist activists. They're talking about murdering people organizing in defense of immigrant communities, doing mutual aid work, and protesting their violence. They are talking about murdering people like me and my friends. We must do more than acknowledge it's fascism.

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Ghouls already using this tragedy—our city’s 4th shooting in 24 hours—to stoke hate and violence against our trans loves. Please minimize your social media use for the rest of today . . . go outside, love on as many people as you can, and come to Lynnhurst for the 8 pm vigil if you’re able

Between a "No Other Land" crew mate filming himself being killed by a settler, to a journalist being killed by airstrikes he was covering minutes earlier, I'm not sure how much more televised Israel's genocide can be

Update! Over 1750 people have signed up for the Resistance Summer School pilot course! This is the seed to a new movement and parallel education structure. It won't put participants in lifelong student debt. Or be subject to attacks on diversity. karenattiah.substack.com/p/columbia-c...

"No Other Land," the Palestinian-Israeli made film showing the destruction of the occupied West Bank's Masafer Yatta by Israeli soldiers, just won the Oscar for Best Documentary. It can't get a distributor in the US. Which tells you everything about censorship in the US.

Whole Foods, which is owned by notorious union-buster Amazon, is arguing that Trump's dismantling of the NLRB means the company doesn't have to recognize a newly unionized store in Philadelphia. Looks like Jeff Bezos's investment in Trump is paying off.

How might we promote our projects, events, campaigns, art, values, etc *beyond* social media? There's no one magic key, but some friends and I did some brainstorming and skill-sharing. Hope it can useful to artists, musicians, organizers, small business owners, and beyond:

guante.infoPromoting Our Projects, Events, and Values BEYOND Social MediaA guiding question for artists, activists, and community-builders: If social media did not exist, how would you share your art, promote your work, and/or communicate your values?

With certain chain grocers owned by conglomerates doing rollbacks of DEI initiatives, now is as good a time as any to remind you of the many international grocers we have in the Twin Cities that I keyed up for @racketmn.bsky.social: racketmn.com/guide-intern...

racketmn.comA Guide to the International Grocers of the Twin Cities - RacketThe Twin Cities is home to over 40 international grocers, and they deserve your dollars, too.

Being intentional about where we spend our money is the first thing we can do to have any impact right now. We knew target and every other performative company only made temporary changes as a marketing tactic and never really cared about equity.

The more I question how to navigate the issues with social media and find ways to connect I’m reminded that we need to create more physical spaces for us to be together. No panels, no keynote speaker, just space for us to process and talk about how we are moving through this together.

You are up to date.
