After talking with his buddy (boss) Putin, Trump has declared that Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil infrastructure are responsible for the increase in diesel prices. TOTAL BS. Trump's Iran war is the cause. Russian diesel exports are so heavily sanctioned that few nations buy them.

Just in case anyone still had any questions, today Trump proved beyond all doubt that has absolutely no idea how the economy, trade, or finance work. It would be genuinely difficult to cram more falsehoods, backwards statements, and sheer gibberish into his statement.

The US once had 17 military bases on Greenland, but has closed all but two. The decisions to close were 100% US decisions. Neither Greenland nor Denmark requested the closures. Luckily for Trump, he base is immune to reality. Hopefully for the rest of us, most American's aren't.

The accounting is in: In Oregon there are 111 data centers. The TOTAL number of people employed at data centers is just 2,630, or 0.1% of the labor force. Those 100 data centers consumer 23% of all electricity used in Oregon. Meanwhile, electricity rates skyrocket as more centers are built.

In the past, ownership of American broadcast media was limited to Americans. Trump's FCC just approved the takeover of CBS, CNN, HBO, MTV, Paramount, and a dozen others by a group largely controlled by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. Yeah, that's the world we're living in now.

Announcing a purchase from a country that has nothing to sell is peak reality-TV tradecraft. Lukashenko gets the photo op, Canada gets the middle finger, and Moscows fertilizer proxy gets a free foothold. Masterful dealmaking, truly.

Asylum seeking people don’t have the freedom to work, they don’t even have the freedom to shop using cash or choose where to shop, in temp accommodation they don’t have the freedom to cook or choose their own food - honestly this headline is batshit

Because Trump is mad at our closest ally, Canada, he decided to buy potash (a key fertilizer ingredient) from one of the world's most notorious cruel dictators, Belarus' Lukashenko. Typical for Trump, he didn't bother to check before announcing his big deal. Belarus doesn't have any potash to sell.

Everything the pro-Trump billionaire Ellison family will now own: Paramount+ CBS CNN Showtime HBO Warner Bros TNT TBS MTV DC Studios Nickelodeon Comedy Central And more... With this comes the power to decide which stories get told, but more importantly, which stories DON'T get told. Shameful.

Nice try, but regulatory capture is a function of the entire US.... not just a single man, or state. Nation heal thyself, Eat. The. Rich. End corporate citizenship. End the predator class.

lronically true, however what follows is a string of dangerously apathetic comments. Wake up, smell the roses and TAKE ACTION otherwise the death spiral continues.

Gotta hand it to the Liberal party. They outflanked the NDP to the left in 2015 and got a majority. Now they're in massive majority territory by eating the CPC's lunch. And in between they survived 2 elections by just being less off-putting than their rivals. It's not pretty, but they win.

Here’s what I chose to remember about 9/11 on its 25th anniversary. I remember 2003. I remember the shock, the fear, the anger, the grim certainty the world turned on a new axis. You could say every day since then has been 9/12. And I remember how the Bush administration used that to start a war.
