hm. lula succeeded by out-shouting the right and not begging for the press to do the lift for him and his supporters? wow, wonder who has been saying something like that in america for almost 20 years?

And credit to him, it worked. A sort of digital levee en masse, literally raising an army to counteract the forces that artificially amplify far-right messaging. He did that through organizing and messaging, both on the streets and online, that was so relentless that he put himself in the hospital.

The Cheesecake Factory “controversy” is nice because it’s a rerun of the exact kind of stupid shit we had to sit through every day of the Obama administration. Now Zoomers don’t have to feel left out of having their own Obama “controversy” to reference.

I have read dozens of outraged posts because the US special envoy Witkoff called Putin a "humanist." But no one is writing about the fact that the American negotiators are simply not doing their job. Let me explain.

If still debating whether Donald Trump or Elon Musk willfully crippled Ukraine's missile defense, helping to slay innocent civilians, you are a rube. If the U.S. President had no role, then an oligarch governs national security. If not, the U.S. President serves Russia. Both answers are mortifying.

imagine if a democratic candidate anywhere said something like this about a jewish candidate, would be a ten-alarm fire in every media outlet for days. but the literal president promoting this sort of insane bigotry against a muslim won't even merit a story

For the past two years, and long before that, Trans folx have been telling everyone that their rights are not up for negotiation, election or not. Democrats refused to listen. Be angry at the candidates who ignored them, not the people begging to have their human rights respected.

Dying laughing at NBC News asking Mike Rogers if a vote for him is a vote for Trump, and HE FAKED HIS MIC CUTTING OUT TO PRETEND HE COULDN’T HEAR THE QUESTION 🤣 These people are pathetic.

In fairness (sorry), the film flatlined the second it expanded from 4 to 472 screens. It's not You Can See Everything; it's four hours, with good but not great reviews, about someone who's already in our faces 24/7. But I do think we should watch for how easy, or not, it becomes to stream or rent.

It would be deeply ironic if the election of a BC Conservative government, and the ensuing war with First Nations in that province, scuttled the oil pipeline so many Conservatives in BC claim to support.

Google was really trying to hide its water use figures, to the degree that it got the council to try to keep its water use figures secret. The community finally got the actual numbers and found out Google was using 29 percent of the water in the community. www.wired.com/story/what-t...

Trump and Musk have given the best reason why not to buy American. Customers - governmental and private alike - around the globe will take note of this and act accordingly, and I wouldn't be surprised if this won't be limited to US military products only. Alternatives are now national security!

If Democrats actually win big because people want a check on Trump corruption I expect every move to do so will be covered in the corporate media as being risky to their 2028 position.

This thread is the truth about Twitter. When someone gets around to giving Elon the Citizen Kane treatment, the equivalent to Rosebud will be his inability to ever be the main character on Twitter. That’s all he ever wanted.

Still some open races, but the vote swing has been pretty systematic. Everyone fairs better, except the NDP. Hindsight is 20/20, but there were plenty of people seeing this coming ahead of time.
