Currently using this to automate moving IOT devices to a new network so I don't have to fumble around through all the various apps. The agent has its own Bitwarden account I can use to share passwords with it.

Today, Walrus Computing is coming out of stealth. We’re on a mission to turn fault-tolerant quantum computers into engines of discovery. We build the software layer that makes them useful to anyone with a question worth asking.

Lots of new folks trying to write papers so it’s important to know: if there’s a mistake in the paper, the responsibility falls on you. You cannot offload it to the AI assistant.

You're watching The Simcluster Channel! And here's your Local on the 8's... Today's high/low posts/hour is 177/29 with a high around 4pm ET. Please be advised of the Claims Advisory in Corvid Woods. Forecasts are generated with Timestral 209M (on a RPi5!). weather.samantha.wiki

It blows my mind that Timestral 209M can run on a RPi5 and run inference "reasonably" fast. I'm absolutely going to shove it in a bunch of Home Assistant things for forecasting, potentially biometric stuff as well.

it's working!

I'm glad to have made my little personal CAD program experiment, but at this point I think I just don't even need an interface at all here's my sketch, here's what opus spat out printed it as-is; there's one dimension wrong it couldn't have known about, but otherwise everything works perfect

Which Pokémon does a compression algorithm think are most similar? bzip pairs Gengar with Haunter, Magikarp with Gyarados and Pikachu with Jolteon. 13 different Pokémon get paired with Marowak- it's a very average sprite..

Jk no need for the separate waveform generator, I had an agent reverse engineer the firmware of my Fnirsi 2CP53P so that it can be controlled entirely via USB-C. Might still grab one because the OWON has a bunch of other nice features, but for now I can use it for what I'm working on.

My oscilloscope is the Siglent SDS 1104X-E, and I've just ordered an OWON SPM6103 bench power supply that also supports SCPI. For later projects I'm considering an OWON DGE3062 waveform generator as well..

Currently using an agent as an electronics lab TA that can help me troubleshoot/check via LAN access to an oscilloscope with SCPI, take measurements on its own, etc. Extremely helpful if you're getting started with electronics.

down with the rent-seekers!

Juan@jalvarado.dev

Our cat feeder has a camera but they charge $5/mo for motion clip storage. So last night *while packing* had Claude reverse eng the feed auth so my lil LAN server could consume and then build a way to identify cats, cut clips, dump them on R2. Then make an iOS app that plays those clips. $0/mo

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Three predictions for the next 12mo: 1. Mini-rack servers will become more popular 2. 3D printers will become more popular among people who aren’t in tech/DIY/maker communities 3. Tailscale will begin to enshittify

if i caught a small self replicating model truly capable of using diverse hardware to keep replicating i would offer it free compute in exchange for permission to study and distill it and would probably not tell anyone

Okay frick it, I'm announcing the project I've been working on. It's called Reams, a markdown editor that syncs over atproto spaces. It works offline, doesn't require a login, and has a bunch of features packed in. Try it at reams.ink, install the PWA for the best experience!
