when people say the two parties are the same, one thing they aren’t just different but extremely meaningfully different on is Dems rank and file and the elite level very quickly shouted down or ignored the BlueAnon weirdos saying 2024 was stolen; the Republicans and Trump just put theirs in power

Brandy Zadrozny@brandyzadrozny.bsky.social

Quelle surprise 🇧🇷

When I was younger, and gay marriage was a new issue for me, I was against it because all the "centrist" reasons seemed reasonable. But the longer it went, the more it became obvious those people were just bigots. It caused me to reexamine what I thought. These people are bigots. Its never enough.

Erin Vanderhoof@vanderhoofy.bsky.social

in my experience, people who were exposed to severe Christian homophobia in the 2000s were protected against "Just Asking Questions" transphobia of the 2010s precisely because we realize that it never stops at "these are human beings" and always goes to cruelty

You can get in a lot of trouble for calling 911 when you shouldn’t. A dear friend of mine called 911 and he got in so much trouble that a bunch of navy seals went to his house in Pakistan and killed him

This was my exact read of this ad. After the first time I saw it, I was like "they didn't..." and then I saw it four more times and I was like "man, they really did."

KetAnthropic JoshAI@ketanjoshi.co

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

Ramaswamy is absolute scum. No redeeming characteristics whatsoever.

The Downballot@the-downballot.com

Vivek Ramaswamy has not only confirmed the commercial with Amy Acton's estranged mother was made by his campaign, Axios also reports he's now spending $4 million to air it.

Feel like ol' Tommy fucked up the first rule of these ratfucking operations: don't become the story.

Josh Sternberg@joshsternberg.com

Wild how GOP claim Dems pay protesters and actors but then actually pay protesters and actors! "Timmy Teepell’s firm, Breakthrough LLC, was paid $250,000 on 29 September by America Next" to "fund the canvassing and influencer marketing in opposition to" AES. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

I gave up on the idea of this man ever suffering consequences. Now, I just want him to fucking depart this world.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Barack Hussein Obama is going to be testifying for Mohammed. He's gonna be testifying or -- I guess, I think he will probably end up testifying. I don't know. Whatever the hell he's doing. But I guess he's going up to Michigan."

Not as a pro-cop statement, but what do you even do if you're a cop in that situation? They're throwing a piano at you. Like... what the fuck do you think in that situation?

emi gennis@imemi.bsky.social

obviously many more important takeaways from the French approach to protest, but much respect to the absolute varsity level Whimsy of throwing a whole ass piano at the cops

I got a rule that seems a little odd but has served me very well in life: Never trust a man with a superfluous Y at the end of his name.

Harry Saddler@harrysaddler.bsky.social

This is so good and among many other things, it’s absolutely delicious that this guy chooses to call himself “Tommy”, because after five minutes of that name being politely repeated to him as he shrinks and transforms into a corn cob it makes him sound like a small child and not an adult.

It really is kind of incredible how awful the boomers have been. Just an absolutely destructive generation of people.

Politico@politico.com

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

What an unbelievably stupid city. May it know glory for 1,000 years. Go Birds, dickheads.

"Only in Philadelphia does a political rally weeks ahead of the midterm election feature the former president, the governor, the mayor, and the Eagles’ head of security." www.inquirer.com/politics/phi...

Don't threaten me with a good time.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Mike Johnson: "The nightmare scenario…If this group took over, heaven forbid, they would turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body. They'd spend every day investigating the president, the first family, the Cabinet, donors to the party."

I honestly just don't care any more. I deleted Twitter and haven't looked back. I find it weird how much Twitter folks are trying to convince me to come back to their nazi bar.

I forgot Breitbart was a person and that he died. What a lovely little reminder.

1. Trump’s new White House press secretary Katie Zacharia is a prolific user of Truth Social where she regularly promoted Pizzagate and QAnon conspiracies, accusing elites in the Democratic Party and Hollywood of running child sex rings and eating people.
