The lake has a "sunken ghost town" beneath its surface as a result of dam construction in the early and mid-1900s, which drowned the town by the rising waters. According to reports from the late 1800s, a "Wildman" creature was said to inhabit the lake's shoreline.

Nearly 10 years ago? Man I feel old... ! From what I've read, the problem of plastic emissions from rivers into oceans has become worse. The issue seems a bit overwhelming, but I'm still thinking hopefully for solutions.

I spotted this patterned ground in a carpark by a #reservoir. It’s called #concrete grass paver 🌱 Designed to stabilise soil, reduce runoff, and support weight while letting water through. 🚗 🌱🌧️ ^^^^^^^^ A future layer of the #Anthropocene! #AnthropoceneSediment #GeoDesign #GroundEngineering
