If anyone has any tips (especially things that will make the laundry part easier) please tell me. We're using pocket diapers, so specifically things for that.

That is the third time I had to get out of bed to go make sure I didn't unlock the door the last time I got up to check if it was locked. I hate my brain.

Me working on a show: This dude's name has a weird capitalization thing happening and I can't decide how to do it. Me 30 seconds later: 90% of this video is AI. Anyone bothering to watch it could not give less of a fuck about this dude's name.

I do very much enjoy that most of my coworkers hate this shit as much as I do, and we all laugh at the one guy who uses AI constantly. Probably the best thing we've got going as far as morale, lmao

“they were always like this” yes they were but they didn’t feel like they could say it out loud at a campaign rally and it was better when they didn’t feel like they could do this

As a former teacher, I never scrubbed in for a gender reassignment surgery, but I did instruct the kids on how to get the window screens off in case of an active shooter…

Pfff, sounds like a skill issue on the part of the husbands to me.

I don't know that there is a definitive line to cross that makes you say, "I live in a police state now" but when masked gunmen can routinely brutalize the public, citizen or immigrant alike, with impunity, you have reached that point.

I've been trying for honestly decades to explain why all body signals become back pain, and I think I just figured it out. They're all just static and noise, and it's like how a blown out speaker rattles at a way lower volume than one that works correctly. My nervous system is a blown out speaker.

Also back pain is the thing I'm least likely to ignore. I will at least attempt to rest, and then it's like "well, I'm sitting down, might as well have a snack." Or my body will just go to sleep on its own. Rest and recovery and basic self care happen more when my back hurts, sadly.

I don't know how many more times I can explain to M that no matter how exhausted I am, it's easier to stick to what I decided on for dinner hours ago, rather than just fend for ourselves, because then I have to make a decision and STILL have to cook. I explain this at least 2-3x a month. I am tired

I don't have the energy for either of those, and I don't have money to just order a pizza or something. Toast for dinner I guess lol

I realized something ridiculous when I was trying to figure out how to get B a new car seat because he's outgrowing his fast: I can't even use pay-in-4 without a huge amount of planning bc they're all every 2wks & I get paid twice a month. So payday would just get later and later after the first one

I'd love to get one that rotates so we could get him in and out easier in our tiny car with barely any room to open the door in the parking lot, but those are like $300 and I'm struggling to figure out how to even get the cheapest kind, so...yeah.

He's still using the infant carrier seat, and he's still under the weight limit for it, but his shoulders are too wide and he's squished in there, so it's time to upgrade to the convertible kind that just stays in the car (which will also give me back some space in the house)

I can't keep spending all this money on frozen pancakes, and I think B is getting bored with plain ones, but he makes too big a mess with blueberry ones. So I made him a batch with some pureed peaches mixed in. I think they're his new favorite food. (Too bad only about half turned out okay, lol)

There is a reason I know what's for dinner 8 hours before dinner, and it's not because I'm especially looking forward to it, it's because I know I won't be able to figure it out later

$25 needed, please help if you can

I hate that I have to ask again, but the electric bill was higher than I was expecting, and groceries were way too much as always. We got all that covered, but have nothing left to get gas with. $50 would fill the tank, if anyone can help. Paypal.me/brokenqueene

B's diapers were out of stock, and now I'm considering switching to cloth diapers (which we have, I just didn't want to do all that laundry when we're already so far behind and limited on when we can do it bc it makes the kitchen sink unavailable & the house hot) But that's $25 I could use for gas.

We're gonna do it. That would save us about $90 a month (after adding in the separate detergent we need for those) which almost makes up for me not getting the shift differential, or at least covers the amount we keep coming up short.

Get your pumpkin carving kit *now* before it's later tonight and you convince yourself a steak knife will work just fine, but it won't and you'll be posting on Bluesky saying, "I just lacerated myself carving a pumpkin. CPSC is going to be so disappointed in me :( "

Million dollar idea: double drink coasters, like figure-8 shape for all of us who need two drinks at all times and don't want to keep track of two different coasters (especially me right now because the baby thinks they're chew toys)

Yes, body, I know I waited too long to eat. But do you really think the nausea, dizziness, brain fog, irritability, and shaky hands are helping us fix that situation any faster??

Every 2wks like clockwork i get pissed off all over again about the shift differential everyone gets but me. Because the amount we keep coming up short is less than that. This problem would not exist if I wasn't getting screwed.

Idk what reminded me of this, but...my trichotillomania started up during my rebellious teen phase, and after a childhood of hearing on repeat that "God knows the exact number of hairs on your head," I have to wonder if on some level I started pulling them out to be like "Yeah? How about now? 😝"
