I'm here because the mainstream media I used to read/watch is entirely captured by billionaires who no longer care to hide the fact that they intend to burn down our society for profit. Also dog videos. There are soooo many good dog videos on Bluesky!

I spend 90% of my week reading financials, analyst notes, earnings and all sorts of serious stuff, so this is the only kind of video I can watch on the weekend

this is so obviously correct it is deeply bizarre and corrosive how many people who should know better are unwilling to simply say it

Ossoff: "In my view, based upon the evidence I've seen thus far, the president's misconduct, abuse of power, and corruption, already exceed any prior standard for impeachment."

In term 1, Trump took a strong economy he inherited from Obama, threw in some tax cuts, didn’t mess with it much, & took credit for it. In term 2, Trump decided that he wanted to completely reshape the economy according to his own dumbass beliefs and now we’re Trump University.

Long after Trump is gone from office as the most despised, unpopular, and disastrous president in US history, the stink of Trump will remain forever on Republican politicians and appointees who backed him every step of the way, even when they try to claim they were independent.

Through the end of August 2026, the House was in session for roughly 383 hours total. That’s an average of about 48 hours per month. Their average monthly floor time is well below the 80-hour monthly threshold the same Congress imposed on Medicaid recipients.

The fact that Jeff Bezos ruined the Washington Post for nothing is just peak 2026

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social

Trump says he's also looking at banning the Washington Post, calling it a "crummy paper" and "disgusting." Anyway, good job, Jeff Bezos! It obviously was worth losing all those scubsribers and turning your opinion section into MAGA-lite, only for the president to continue to call you "fake news."

Donald gives McDonald’s $10. McDonald’s gives him a hamburger. McDonald’s buys nothing from Donald. That’s a $10 trade deficit, not a $10 loss, because the stupid motherfucker received a hamburger. We’re being governed by a man who cannot understand lunch.

The people who approved this need to go to prison. All of them. Full stop.

NEW: DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat.🧵

"What are they hiding?" is always a stupid line, but it's rich coming from the guy who got caught taking a $50,000 bribe in a Cava bag.

Heinrich: Is ICE going to be raiding polling places? Homan: "I have not seen any operational plans…They don't want ICE near polling places, don't want voters ID, don't want observers. What are they hiding? There is no plan for enforcement action at polling places."

Many months ago, I bought a Kickstarter item from an awesome Canadian company. I just had to pay $103 CAD in tariff fees, to get it shipped. I cannot emphasize enough just how much I fucking loathe Trump, and the Republicans who have enabled him out of cowardice.

25 years ago, terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, including 2,753 New Yorkers. As we remember that terrible day, let us also remember the first responders, office workers and strangers who ran toward danger to help each other.

Shit's too expensive, paychecks are flat, and this administration threw themselves a party and pat themselves on the back. This November, we're going to send them a message loud and clear: Your time is up. Working people built this country. It's time to take it back.

Deliberately crashing the American economy—costing American families well over $5,000 each—and then promising to pay those families back $5,000 but *only if* they keep letting him abuse them and the country for two more years... ...is some *seriously* dark, domestic-abuser shit.

This is the kind of thing that'll come in handy when the Democrats -- hopefully -- push to expand the court. Even the most politically disengaged voter can likely be made to understand that there's fuckery afoot here.

The Trump administration has filed 36 emergency applications since last February, which have generated 31 conclusive rulings. In those 31 rulings, the Court has voted *for* Trump in whole or in part 27 times (87.1%), and against him four times (12.9%). Here's a chart covering all of these rulings:

Ron and Cassie DeSantis: These two crooks stole $10 million from a settlement with a charity, wired it to Cassie’s fake “charity,” laundered it through two puppet organizations, and then used it for political ads in an election year. They should be in jail.
