Coming up: Wonder Ones: covering every issue called “Wonder Woman #1” in history, to see how the idea of a Wonder Woman changes over generations Steve Baxi, Chad Nevett and I take on the three part Morrison/Capullo run of Spawn Plastic Fantastic: a column where I cover Plastic Man from the start

The time spent on an issue of Pricks divided by the sales of each issue works out at about 78p per hour. To pay myself minimum wage I would need to charge around £56 per issue. The only answer is to keep going and hope people discover it. Hope you enjoyed this great advert! Frasergeesin.com

I'm putting a Shelfdust feature together about Wonder Woman at the mo. Over the decades there's been six comics called "Wonder Woman #1". What does each one of those six comics have to say about that particular generation's view of "wonder" and "woman"? And how come they've all been written by men

#EventsDearBoy 39. INFINITE CRISIS (2005, DC) The decades-long dream of old-school DC fans is fulfilled and they finally (kind of) reverse Crisis On Infinite Earths in the event whose message is that reading 20 years of DC Comics will, in fact, turn you into a psychopath

Went to see a standup try some light observational material. No laughs. He restarted, embellishing with punishing detail. Long over descriptions. Silence. He restarted again but replaced every word with the sound of breaking wind. His story repeats itself. First as turgidity then as farts.

Now is then and the personal is political. @ligerlillie.bsky.social writes a hell of an article.

It's real good! Whilst you slept the world sung.

A timely reminder that Paul Grist is great, Britain ("real" and imagined) sucks eggs, but that the people who live here don't always.

living in Britain is so funny because there’s three easy things you can do that will set a decent part of the population to driving you out of public life and openly fantasising about murdering you and they are - be an ethnic minority - be transgender - ride a bicycle

What we need is a government brave enough to post an official slurs list businesses can use on customers. Guidance is lacking and it's left service providers unclear on just who they can use which slurs against. I trust Labour for the job!

Deep glee. Lots of amazing folks here.

One of my absolute favourites in a hot new format you can wedge into a tote bag/big pocket/whatever the funny kangaroo pouch is called in the front of a non-zip-up hoody? Hell yes.

Apparently Giant Days is being reissued in a series of 6x9" 400pp pocket digests. I learned this about two minutes before you did, dear reader, from the eye that never sleeps @sktchd.bsky.social
