My teenage children, who have never set foot in NYC, go around saying "Help me, Mamdani!" whenever anything goes wrong and/or they can't figure out their homework, just to give everybody a sense of the scale of this man's presence in the culture lol

Disability can happen to anyone at any time. It’s not due to deconditioning or a moral failing. Many chronic illnesses are the result of a viral infection from which the body never recovers. We need more awareness, treatments & clean air to reduce viral spread. www.bbc.com/sport/athlet...

Gavin, Carla, Jamie & Co are threatening to bring down Stormont, as if we care 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s their prize, not that of the nationalist community. We want public services that work more than we want the house on the hill. Shooting themselves in the foot every time

Here's Carla's opinion on a peaceful march for Palestine in Scarva, why can she not apply her own words to Garvaghy Road?

Bryant thinks he’s calming the situation??

Saul Staniforth@saulstaniforth.bsky.social

"I don't think any elected politician should be supporting an illegal protest" Chris Bryant (the secretary of state for Northern Ireland) says Michelle O'Neill (the first minister of Northern Ireland) is wrong to stand with people defending their community.

The nonsense is probably a result of how successful the Fleadh was

Cllr. Séamas de Faoite@seamasbelfast.bsky.social

Political Unionism, at the behest of Bryson et al, has picked at the sorest sectarian scab of the last 30 years, to create a festering wound. Utterly depressing considering the glimpse of the future we had during the Fleadh. They only wish to drag us back. Solidarity with the residents of Garvaghy.

While Piddington dominates the news, at Leicester Crown Court this man was sentenced today Ivan Jennings, a former Conservative councillor, called for terror attacks on small boat migrants and Muslims and shared target ideas, telling fellow white supremacists to kill as many “subhumans” as possible

Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, their land will be occupied, their leaders will be killed, their history and language will be erased, their children will be kidnapped to serve Russia.

Ms. Rachel: "Ed Sheeran had an opportunity…Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows." "If more than 20,000 white children were killed…everyone would be shouting…Treating some children's lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral."

New: Macklemore says Robert Kraft — who owns Gillette Stadium, where Macklemore & Ed Sheeran were to perform later this month — called Sheeran. Kraft rallied other owners together behind an ultimatum for Sheeran: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you won't be allowed in our venues.

If you remember this ad, that music is now playing in your head. For anyone who wasn’t there, it would be hard to describe what a phenomenon this daft ad was. It had the kind of success every oddball ad aspires to achieving.

Burnham behaved exactly as expected. British PM behaving as the state want him to is not surprising, but it’s worth noting what that really means in NI. Remember, loyalist paramilitary groups are not seen as terrorist, just helpful

Andy Burnham ruling out a border poll promised in the Good Friday Agreement while UK Home Office deploy racist packs of Border Force to Grand Central Station in Belfast tells you everything you need to know about an immoral, dangerous, UK Gov pushing hate, division & borders in a tinderbox. [1/n]

Prisoner release as part of dealing with a societal issue is not new. We’ve had the debates, & the hierarchy of victims before. GB media continues to ignore anything that’s ever worked in NI

Larry laid his mouse in front of the press to be photographed. Lest you ask, this is a real photograph via the Press Association.

Ballymena politician on local news horrified & shocked that murders happened in a residential area that’s “mostly owner occupied…” Must only be poor people who kill their wives and daughters

I’m sure this will be a charming vignette in an upcoming series of Peelers

When I say policing reform has failed, PSNI need disbanded - this encapsulates it. It’s a PSNI photo op at a 12th bonfire with the leader of paramilitary group - South East Antrim UDA, Larne. SEA UDA are active and prolific in violence and intimidation despite the ceasefire. More on them… [1/n]
