Those agendas and biases can be anything!
Case in point: you think the fruit in the garden of eden was an apple because a guy translating the story into Latin wanted to make a pun.
BREAKING: “It is increasingly clear that as the world continues down this volatile path our long term national interest requires closer partnership with our allies in Europe and with the European Union.. Brexit did deep damage to our economy”
Prime minister Keir Starmer 👏
The Melania film has 8% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes but the audience reviews are just dozens of bots spamming 5 star praise.
Wonder who is paying, amazon on her team? Not trump himself, of course.
So when authorities say “she tried to run over an officer,” that is not a neutral description. It is a claim of intent that can be used to justify lethal force after the fact.
When the state kills first and invents the threat afterward, it is not policing, it is death squad behavior. /end
In Hungary visiting my wife's family in Pécs. They exchange presents and eat the big dinner on Christmas eve; minced pork wrapped in sauerkraut, with pork belly and paprika spiced cured sausage. Served with sour cream.
Feeling pleased with my first attempt at tirimasu, it went down very well!
Did an evening class in how to make with the Liverpool branch of the Dante Aligheri society.
Been lazy with pics but here's a 'mediterranean' breakfast at the Warehouse Cafe near Hunts Cross.
I don't think such a thing exists but lots of cafes in Liverpool run by people from south east europe offer them and i enjoy them.
Spinach, asparagus, eggs, hummus, pitta, tomatoes, halloumi etc.

I remember when there was a discussion on Twitter about Shein's manufacturing practices and some apologists invented all sorts of fantastical machinery and technology to avoid facing the more horrifying truth. Reminds me of this comedian's joke.

Maybe time to once and for all rid ourselves of any illusions about the American government. Keep talking when needed, be polite, be the adult in the room but never trust the Americans, and never ever rely on them for anything.
🇺🇸❗️🇺🇦 Trump urged Zelensky to accept Russia’s terms for ending its war in a volatile White House meeting on Friday, warning that Vladimir Putin had said he would “destroy” Ukraine if it did not agree, - FT
Enjoyed a breakfast of small meat (lamb and more) and foul (beans and more) at the Yemenin Kitchen in Lodge Lane.
I'm also a sucker for the flat bread and sweet tea.
If you want to dress well this fall, imagine yourself as Big Jim Collie, a Scottish crofter in the 1970s who lived alone in a bothy and rode a rickety old bicycle through the Lairig Ghru, the highest mountain pass in the highest mountain range in Britain, while sustaining himself on a bit of dram.
Enjoyed a 'rice and three curries' meal at This and That Cafe in Manchester.
Cafeteria style serving, v basic interior, good value. Got v busy after opening. Read that it's been a hidden gem since opening in 1984.
Ukraine is a secondary topic for both Trump and Putin in Alaska. This is a mafia meeting arranged by war criminal Putin to restore Russia internationally & economically. Trump wants his "peace" glory and Putin used that to get this summit. But it's mainly about money for both of them, as always.
Went to one of my favourite places, Tasty Polish Cooking in Norris Gree, yesterday. Loved this beetroot soup and then great fried, breaded chicken (which is hiding a load of mashed potato).
Main course even more extravagant, salad, cucumber and yoghurt, rice with dried berries, rice with a crispy bottom, chicken cooked in a tomato sauce. Lovely.
Thoroughly enjoyed steak, breaded fish and a selection of interesting sides at Drykela, a Brazilian place in Wavertree. The coffee with the milk pudding dessert was delicious.
child's life. They needed to collect the donated heart from a young donor and then, on the very same night, transplant it into another young patient. This extraordinary effort took place under the challenging circumstances of an ongoing air raid siren as drones attacked the city.
During a drone attack on Kyiv, Dr. Borys Todurov, a renowned Ukrainian cardiac surgeon, urgently traveled to Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital to retrieve a donor heart for a critical transplant operation.
The Heart Institute reported that Dr. Todurov's team was in a race against time to save a
As it’s coming up to the anniversary of my double transplant, and the death of, Emma, my very precious donor, who was only 19 when she died💔👼 I had my nails done and went for these Purple Cat Eye French Tip, as she loved the colour purple!!💜 #OrganDonation#GiftOfLife#Forever19 💜💗💝
All through the night and into the morning, Kharkiv was under massive russian attack—14 drones, 10 missiles
While the city shook, the US shook hands with those who sent them
When Ukraine burned, when its cities were hunted in the dark—why did the US trade support for betrayal?
People are lining up for hours at Kharkiv blood center to donate for Sumy, because it’s the closest option. How can anyone think we’d give up even an inch to Russia?

Realpy enjoyed this food (lamb and mixed vegetables, lentils and beans) at the Ethiopian restaurant in Kensington last night. I forget the name. Served on inerja bread.
The traditonal coffee was superb.
Fearless closing statement in court by 67-year-old dissident Alexander Skobov, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for “participation in the activities of a terrorist community” and “justification of terrorism” today:

Trump’s presidency is not unpredictable—it is unfolding exactly as promised. His hostility towards Ukraine, contempt for NATO, and admiration for Putin were all clear from the start. Europe must stop pretending otherwise. 🇺🇸🇪🇺

Imagine being invaded, getting your towns and cities destroyed, millions of lives ruined or lost, but still fighting for years for your independence only to be made to surrender AND pay reparations for... being invaded.. to your allies 🤯
