You know what Nintendo does when they have a surplus set of devs from cancellations or production ending? Put them on other projects. The ability to redeploy headcount while keeping teams together over time is like, the main strategic benefit of scale in the game industry

Was out with friends in a pub with no phone signal, and I miss Foden scoring a hattrick after not scoring since December (apart from last Saturday). I can only apologise. Foden! Foden!! FODEN!!!!

Foden x3! (as @stepickford.bsky.social would say)

Always a treat to see a new book from Aly Fell.

Well, IT'S READYish. Kickstarter pre-launch is active! Please sign up there if you fancy it. I can then gauge interest which gives me ideas for funding targets, add-ons etc. It should go live in October for an appropriately spooky seasonal Kickstarter! Thank you! www.kickstarter.com/projects/aly...

Really weird to see something you vaguely recognise on your timeline, before remembering that you actually drew it yourself, erm.. 39 years ago I think.

My finest ever work. I wrote it on a treadmill in a gym, recording each title, as I thought of them, into the notes app.

It really very strongly feels like this should be illegal. They just got 20+ years of my email to train on without my consent, from a service I pay for. But I guess we're just going to let them keep doing it.

i dislike the whole project but his paintings have always overwhelmingly struck me as NAIVE in a way that he doesnt seem to intend-- he's treating the illo as lowbrow and authorless and making a joke of putting it into Fine Art, but all i can see is man this fucker had no grasp of drawing at all lol

I'd never seen this Roy Lichtenstein painting before, but it's incredible how he manages unfailingly to make his copies worse than the original comics he's ripping off.

Not drawn anything (outside of work) for ages. Especially not something on actual paper with an actual physical pen! Feels good to get something finished.

I totally thought this post was about Electronic Arts, the unpleasant corporate video game publisher that started life with a focus on creative game developers.

I think a problem with EA, even with what it said it purported to be at the beginning, is the process of turning all human endeavors into a spreadsheet. Once that happens, no local charity or small arts organization stands a chance at justifying their existence, no individual human matters.

Issue *2500* of @2000ad.bsky.social just arrived. That’s a good innings in anyone’s book. Can’t be too many comics that have made it to such a number. (I recall in the UK, only half a dozen or so managed this and only two of those are still going: The Beano and Commando.)

Do I know anyone in my network who specialises in Zbrush/3D sculpting (UK based)? Requesting for a one off workshop teaching students 3D sculpting tools and techniques in London (paid). Please DM me if you're interested!

Great thread. My only slight disagreement is that personally I think Chronocops is the best 5 page comic ever created.

Alan Moore is one of the greatest comedy writers in comic book history. I’ll prove it to you! I’m reading Alan Moore’s Future Shocks today, with art from Ian Gibson, Brendan McCarthy, Dave Gibbons, Bryan Talbot, John Higgins and many many more. Let’s change the false narrative around Moore >>

As someone who worked at a British dev studio in the north of England who made superhero games for Acclaim, this post is spot on.
