I am utterly baffled. We're living in a world where Trump wants to punish Canada for not giving up our sovereignty. At the same time, he is doing everything but give Russia preferred nation status. What is wrong with America? www.nytimes.com/2026/10/16/u...

nytimes.comTrump Signs Order Exempting Russia From Sanctions Law (Gift Article)The sanctions were part of a measure that was named after Senator Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican who died in July.

Canada will happily welcome the brilliant and creative people that Trump wants to keep out of the US. So much technology has been created by skilled and highly educated immigrants to the US. bsky.app/profile/mcle...

Prime Minister Mark Carney said it best today: Canada will not trade away its language, culture, or sovereignty for a bad deal. America has changed, and its signature is increasingly written in pencil. Time to stand firm, match the tariffs dollar-for-dollar, and protect who we are.

If reports of the deal Trump extracted from Canada are true, I’m disgusted. I’d rather endure U.S. tariffs than see Canada bow to American pressure. Our dignity today. Our sovereignty tomorrow. Why is North Korea now a better friend to the U.S. than Canada?

Clearly, Canada made a mistake sending firefighters to California and soldiers to Afghanistan. So much for friendship, this is how the United States treats its friends. Once Trump is gone, how many friends will the US have in the world? www.nytimes.com/2026/07/17/w...

What makes Canadian national treasure Michael deAdder more than a superb political artist is his ability to penetrate language to find deeply insightful analogies, metaphors, or wordplay!

RFK Jr demanded the *retraction* of a 20 yr Danish study that showed aluminums in vaccines do not cause health issues. The journal REFUSED saying the study has been peer-reviewed and found to have no significant flaws. Imagine asking science to un-science itself.

❤️‍🩹The reunion of two loyal friends after a long separation – a Ukrainian soldier and his dog. First, the dog seemed to scold him for being away so long. Then it started hugging him. I’m not crying. Something just got in my eye.

Is America trying to alienate all its allies? If Canada buys the F35’s from the US, I will be absolutely disgusted. And Trump wonders why countries are running into the arms of China. The US is hostile and a declining power. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Ellison has $240 billion. The six billion he spent to buy CBS is pocket change to him. It is literally like an average American spending $6. The is why multi-billionaires are so destructive to civil society.
