sometimes you're in a public bathroom and the sink slab is absolutely drenched so you gotta do the trump stand so your shirt doesn't touch it

I know now why many larger accounts limit replies I got people in my mentions arguing about the sodium content of canned soup because I made a joke about groceries being expensive

rolled credits on galactic racer last night, I love to watch through credits after finishing a game as a relax ritual! it felt like I was watching names scroll for an eternity, just an astounding amount of people worked on this "small" game in some form or another

One thing that's really Getting me today: Bioware being shuttered hurts, but it should hurt worse. We shouldn't be as numbed to venerable, beloved studios being torched for no reason by business idiots as we are. This deserves to be all anyone talks about for weeks, not forgotten in a day

to me the existential threat posed by AI slop games is less "AI slop games will steal our sales" and more "the onslaught of AI slop and the exhaustion over having to second guess every new game will make people mentally check out from supporting new games at all and retreat to their backlogs"

This shit is so cool. They took away being able to afford computers for this shit.

Business Insider confirms it: Amazon has warehouses of GPUs that can’t be installed, and is buying them so far in advance that a supply chain team said they “didn’t have a clear forecasted path” to installing them. www.businessinsider.com/amazon-220-b...

The crazy thing about this is how quickly I forget about it too. I hit ignore and I never think about it again, that's how easy the decision is when you're comfortable saying nothing is worth it. All the fun in the world doesn't excuse this. I'll just go play a different game

does anybody have that post of a biddy blas clip where the caption is something like “he’s just a whistling kettle at this point” I can’t find it

I'm writing a mod in C# and it's reporting a warning on line 3 of a file but the warning is blank for some reason so the "problems" overview just looks like this

ai takes up so much online space now it's exhausting. beyond the actual slop and ads are the countless posts calling them out and exposing grifts and such, which are good things to do I just wish they didn't make up a combined 95% of my internet experience now

star wars racing is good for a lot of reasons but specifically for the QTE of like 15 buttons you press at the start of each run that feel perfectly like you're flipping a bunch of bullshit switches on your rocket-powered pile of junk to turn it on

2nd overlooked reason why this game kicks ass is the default controller layout feels laser-focused on this same fiddly-switches feeling. taking my thumb off of a face button to click right stick to turn my boost into Super Boost tm and then back to A to activate. genuinely fucking sublime feeling

like on paper that sounds annoying, you loose a split second of boosting and you're using the same digit to both swap modes and then move back to engage the new mode of your boost but in practice it feels like I'm driving nuclear stick shift and it absolutely rocks

You've seen fireworks that look like jellyfish, but what about a jellyfish that looks like fireworks? The E/V Nautilus filmed this rare Halitrephes maasi jellyfish glowing like a firework at a depth of 4,019 feet (1,225 meters) off the coast of Baja California, Mexico. (📷: Ocean Exploration Trust)

In the last few hours, Battlefield 6 has • Killed another popular game mode (Gauntlet) • Released a £30 'Shortcut Bundle' that unlocks everything and prestiges all weapons • *massively* restricted all XP gain (incl. weapon XP) to 300/min • FAILED TO CHECK THE NEW SKINS FOR GEN AI HALLUCINATIONS 💀💀

while on one hand I like the potential for it to make immensely over-large companies squirm and maybe finally lead to AI regulation, I am in no way on the side of vibe-coded genAI slop adobe remakes or decompiled games. I am firmly in the camp of good old fashioned piracy.

this is a video game that you should play

Lots of good reasons to be frustrated with the rise of genAI but the idea that it'll accelerate our ability to make More Stuff is driving me crazy. We simply do not need More Stuff! and certainly not Faster!

with the steam autumn sale in full swing I'm deciding to make a rule that if a game on my wishlist goes 70%+ on sale and I still don't immediately pick it up then I think I probably just don't actually want the game and should remove it from my wishlists

I know every new character on launch in a moba-like game is going to be overtuned in some way but deadlock's rat king asks the bold question "are you willing to burn all your stamina right now to get my rats off of you so I don't do 1 million damage? also I get this cooldown back in 10 seconds"
