wellstone was the first politician i ever got to volunteer for. people love to quote “we all do better when we all do better” but i try to live by this one: “If we don't fight hard enough for the things we stand for, at some point we have to recognize that we don't really stand for them.”

Twenty-four years ago today, on October 25, 2002, Minnesota lost Senator Paul Wellstone. We also lost his wife, Sheila, and their daughter, Marcia. Campaign staffers. Today, take moment to honor Wellstone's amazing legacy.

Republicans siding with Putin--a cruel, murderous, vile dictator--over the Ukrainian people literally fighting to save their lives. This is so gross.

The Kyiv Independent@kyivindependent.com

It's already been said many times that the U.S., under President Donald Trump, was turning its back on Ukraine. But the past few days show something worse than abandonment: Trump is now actively helping Russia win the war.

No president should be weaponize the federal government against his enemies. Although Ilhan is not a DSA-endorsed candidate, she has fought for working people, supports Medicare for All, and called to abolish ICE. She has our back, and we have hers. Join us at 4PM today at Powderhorn Park!

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

When will the Trump/Epstein Files be completely released as Congress ordered? When will Trump be brought to justice for the heinous crimes he is accused of committing? When will the women--especially those he abused as children--get the justice they deserve? Why are Republicans protecting him?

A little man, a silly man--greedy barbarous and cruel.

Wow. Republican Congressman Pete Stauber CRASHES OUT after Trina Swanson quotes him calling Minnesota a failed state: “I’ve never said that” The only problem is he did say that. On video. Watch 👇

ICE just kidnapped a woman at LAX airport Saturday Oct 3, 12:50AM. A community member was able to record when several ICE goons who refused to identify themselves grabbed the woman, put her into a van and then drove off.

BREAKING 📣 For several days, a peaceful protest took place in the morning, after a young child was killed by a car driver. The child was riding his bike to school, the father with him. The grieving community came together with hundreds of people, cyclist or not, creating a 3km long human bike lane.

Because an existential challenge for humanity is for more engineers to shift from asking "How can we?" to "Should we?" As a reminder, engineers (and I am an engineer) made every gas chamber, poison and bomb ever made. That's why engineers need to study the stories of our collective past.

Am I missing something here? In what universe would an engineering student ever study history?! Do many history students study engineering?! I *enjoyed* history at school, and I was *good* at it. But no way would I ever have studied it at university.

I think about the generations of investments Minnesotans have made in people, education, facilities, processes and technology to have the best hospital in the world. It's extraordinary, and says a lot about the people and values of this state.
