Hennepin Co. neighbors: vote for CEDRICK FRAZIER aka @cedrickfrazier.bsky.social, NOT Anders Folk, who is a Republican - though he’s trying to hide it. Folk will of course support ICE in more murder and kidnapping. Cedric Frazier has promised to prosecute ICE. He’s the only choice!! Thank you.

CD5 DFL@cd5dfl.bsky.social

We are proud to have Representative Cedrick Frazier represent the DFL on the ballot this year for Hennepin County Attorney. He is the only DFL-endorsed candidate in this race, and we encourage all Hennepin County DFLers to vote for him on or before November 3rd!

"Republican-aligned groups have spent about $34.2 million in races for Minnesota’s statewide offices...that compares with $26.7 million for Democrats." As Strib notes, $10MM of that conservative spend is from a single billionaire, Richard Uihlein.

Anders Folk may not call himself a Republican when it’s convenient for votes, but Republicans know he’s a Republican.

For years we've been told the DSA is a menace — a threat to our very way of life — by the same Frey guys courting MAGA Republican support for their candidate for Hennepin county attorney.

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

Great thread. And a sober reminder that “centrist” Dems so often end up looking like standard-issue Republicans when they get power.

The US is not about to have a free and fair election. The state has put its thumb on the scale to favor the ruling party in multiple ways. It's a mostly free, somewhat unfair election. But still one where the ruling party can be overwhelmed by numbers. Hence the term "competitive authoritarianism."

Asawin Suebsaeng@swin24.bsky.social

It is atrocious we have to operate under this constant credible and explicit threat from one political party, the fact we keep calling it a “free and fair election” needs some light revising

What do you think the overlap is of Minnesotans who swell with pride at local organizing against ICE and the people who want a partner at Trump's favorite law firm to be the next Hennepin County Attorney?

There’s been no bigger failure of the City of Minneapolis than its response to homelessness. It’s been abundantly clear since at least 2020 that trying to bulldoze people out of existence so you don’t have to bare the sight of them homeless in your neighborhood doesn’t solve the problem. 🧵
