Oh for fuck's sake I am like 99 percent done switching from gmail to Proton after several months. What the fuck are we supposed to do, self host squirrelmail or something?

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

2005: Tech is cool! Gmail is nifty! I can find my art school classmates on The Facebook! 2026: SEND ZUCKERBERG TO THE HAGUE, I AM A LUDITE

Hi. I, a trans woman, am the Executive Producer of this show. I wrote the question. He called trans girls men. He has now said it in three different places in the past week.

Anti-trans Democrats are spreading poison when we can least afford it, during elections in this ongoing fascist takeover. As a strategy, it’s a recipe for failure. As a moral stand, it’s reprehensible. PS I’m the father of young trans woman and I’ll never forgive anyone who makes her life harder.

All cis people on this site should be nicer to trans people facing existential threats I think. Just imo

Underrated perk of switching to Proton Mail is not having to look at gmail's crappy infantile UI that hasn't changed in 20 years (except to get worse!)

FWIW my experience on Jellyfin (Neptune as AppleTV player) and Navidrome for music has been fantastic so far. Playback over internet has actually been way more stable than Plex, though I may have been routed through their relay service without realizing. Hoping the devs land on their feet.

Fuck everything. This probably would have done EXTREMELY well.

“No authority can reassert itself when everything is called into question. That is to say, when the primal sovereignty of the people — denied by the usurping sovereignty of capital and the markets — rises up. This gigantomachy was bound to happen eventually.” All of life is a scam and we’re pissed.

And there we have it.

🚨🚨🚨 PHP PATCHES JUST DROPPED 🚨🚨🚨 Go update right now!!! www.php.net/archive/2026...

Who else is up trying to remember how many PHP things they have running across home servers and VPSs... fuck

Trying out Soulseek but nervous reading about the sharing etiquette + high standards of audiophiles Someone finally downloads something from me: YAY! It's a crappy vinyl rip I was meaning to delete with lots of crackles and inconsistent volume levels: Oh, oh no

I love how the arguments for bans on speed cameras are basically "Police won't pull you over if you're white, but a speed camera doesn't care". I dunno, sounds good to me! ballotpedia.org/Arizona_Prop...

prefer analogue CDs, the sound is much warmer

Marjorie Taylor Green resigned bc she realized she could keep her pension without actually doing any more work, not because of threats to her safety. I’ve gotten more credible death threats for being a woman on YouTube and I’m still here. Fuck her www.ntu.org/foundation/d...

I was just looking up metadata for a random Jean Michel Jarre song and my god, his *website* is fucking beautiful: jeanmicheljarre.com/live/the-twe...

Opening up something that looks like Photoshop on Linux is a neat hat trick, but yeah, these apps are just shells. Issues on Github are like "Doesn't play sound" and "delete doesn't work" for the Pro Tools clone lol. Curious if they'll actually improve.

I feel like road rage is getting worse by the day as people (men) are just increasingly more pissed off at gas prices or whatever

Emma Ruth Rundle - These Killing Times. Fantastic album, thanks Zia Records! #NowSpinning #VinylCommunity

you guys broke watergate

#Tucson If you haven't already read TA's newsletter today, I recommend it. Yet another data center is trying to be built in Tucson. This one is a bit trickier to stop.

Since we're talking about Plex my weird flex is that I've collected over 900 episodes of This Old House, kind of a home improvement Library of Alexandria

My DnD party literally just reenacted the "Supplies!" moment from UHF (hiding in a supply room and surprising a guard who opened the door) www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHS_...

#NowSpinning Bonobo - Distance in Static. Pastel blue preorder finally showed up, and sounds great.

Those Borg upgrades are not what the crew expected

Good morning, time to bother the cat

Trans rights is inherently a bodily autonomy issue. Just like abortion rights is. We can't have gender equity or reproductive freedom without trans rights. Full stop. You can yell at me and make up shit that you claim I've said if it makes you feel better. I don't care. I'm right. And you know it.

I finally remembered to prepare some overnight oats after thinking about it and then forgetting every night for the last two weeks, please clap

If you're not for trans rights you're not for human rights - there can be no compromise on this

Somehow got strand hair working w/ latest Proton Experimental and.. yeah that's the good stuff

Wanted to revisit Dragon Age The Veilguard again (weird seasonal association with Fall) but now getting a nasty DirectX crash due to the strand hair system. And if I can't have perfectly simulated Fabio-esque flowing locks on my Qunari, what's the point?

Can l leave this timeline please

andrew what do you think about trans kids playing high school sports? “i actually dont think about childrens genitals, what a bizarre question”

Happy New Bonobo Album day - another artist I'm so glad is still releasing excellent music. I played Animal Magic endlessly on my minidisc walkman freshman year of high school. Loving the new release so far. bonobomusic.bandcamp.com/album/distan...

Annd canceled 1password subscription (for Proton). Not one more dollar to support a creepy fascist's pet project

Wow sure glad I never moved forward with hey.com as a gmail replacement. And now I will move away from 1password after 6 years unless AgileBits reverses course. Weird ethnic cleansing freaks will NOT get my money.

This is hanging by my door. I think a lot of us need him by the door

Spruced up the desk. Cat prints, games, D&D, speakers - a few of my favorite things. Pouring one out for old speakers from '03, amp fried in the last monsoon when we lost our neutral wire. Hoping these Klipsch's last another 20 years (unlikely.. but they look & sound good).

Partial power outage after an epic monsoon - looks like we lost our neutral wire(?). Reported unsafe conditions to TEP and gearing up for a 90 degree night. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Can’t go outside, too hot. Amazon lost new PC case, still have glass shards in the old one. Bored and feeling eepy

Replacing the Spontaneously Exploding Corsair with a Fractal Design North case. Most importantly it will have MESH side panels >.>

Was just supposed to swap a fan out, but the glass side panel on this 3 y/o Corsair case had other plans. Plans that involved shattering into 1000 shards. I will be staying away from glass panels in the future… or anything by @corsair.com for that matter. Could’ve been bad, but I wasn’t hurt.
