one of the more embarrassing strangely common video game fandom behaviours is holding onto resentment over specific IGN reviews decades later. you are 29 years old bro you gotta led the sonic unleashed review go

I think we need to celebrate the death of Sora a bit more. This is a technology that, just MONTHS AGO, we were being told was going to literally destroy Hollywood and Disney was going to give them a BILLION DOLLARS and NONE OF THAT EVEN REMOTELY HAPPENED

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.” What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

Now you too can play a slowed down version of a game from 20 years ago with no actual level design or enemies and all it costs is a complete collapse of the world economy, biosphere, education system, and multiple entire creative industries.

Wake up. Make breakfast. Do email. Watch a murder. Go to a party for a 5 year old. Laugh with my daughter. See a different angle of that murder. Hear govt officials slander the victim. Play Barbies with my kid. Feed her dinner. Tear up at that victim reading last honors to a vet. Put kid to bed. USA

No Other Choice was good! I went in outraged that it was snubbed from the #Oscars but maybe I get it. The story didn't feel particularly novel or the payoff especially interesting. Still kind of a shame Park Chan Wook hasn't gotten any recognition from The Academy.

Unless my submission for review of the bill turns up a mistake or I'm able to negotiate it down (both of those processes being a thing is ridiculous), we're going to pay $1300 for two blood work visits and an OB visit confirming a miscarriage. Insane.

After a rough few weeks, yesterday my wife backed into a car in the parking lot. We were pretty nervous about whatever hit that might be to my mom's car insurance. She left a note. A couple of hours later that same car got rear ended, so we are totally off the hook. What are the odds??
