Obviously it's rad that you can make these adjustments and good on them for doing that. But also this fix I imagine would fix quite a few of my issues? Like is a re-review warranted? Should games just not be reviewed until like a week after launch?

Anyway combat balance and repetitiveness is what kept me from saying it was a 10 out of 10 so take that for what it's worth lol

Review scores aren't real but if we're going to continue to bother can we at least not have 8/10 be attached to games deemed "perfectly serviceable"

His games are very expensive to make and Death Stranding 2 didn't exactly do gangbusters (it sold well, but not extraordinarily). So my read is the number crunchers at Sony just weren't feeling it. That said, you can't only listen to the number crunchers.

Kojima probably wanted to hire RDJ or someone else crazy big for a role and Sony was like nah we good.

When your platform identity hinges partly on the prestige and critical success of your games, you might have to spend some money to maintain that even at the sacrifice of monetary success of individual titles. Because guess what? Physint being a critical darling helps sell the NEXT PlayStation game.

It really feels like PlayStation lost sight of that balance between successful games and beloved games this Gen. They're heavily chasing after one, and it's not working.

At least they still got Horizon Hunter's Gathering

My biggest problem with this is that a certain section of the audience believes a good review is one that conforms to the general consensus. Somewhere along the line people really lost the idea that not only can they have a different opinion on a piece of media, but differing opinions are exciting.
