I'm curious if and then if there is the awareness of the fact that the "save act" will slow the counting and reporting of ballot counts? No more same night or even next day counts being completed. So, not only inhibiting the act of voting but even the counting and reporting of those counts.

The official White House account just cut a video game montage to hype up Trump’s war in Iran. At least thirteen Americans are dead. Over a hundred are wounded. These are Americans who died for this country. And this administration is making memes about it.

I sometimes worry that too many people think being a good critic means being a self-righteous dick about every little thing and I think far too many miss the point that you can't critique anything if you don't know how to love something.

#womenshistory see the main characters are women, and the men in this story are SUCH IDIOTS that it's a + for women. It's 1994, and the rivalry between Tonya Harding & Nancy Kerrigan is heating up (I know, I know). Enter Tonya's ex/current husband, Jeff, and his band of boobs (tm).

it's meeee I haven't learned the art of what an opening shot should look like but I have learned to show you my face! Listen to my podcast @doomedtofailpod.bsky.social

My congressman, Jay Obernolte (who I will work tirelessly to fire in November) should expect this letter from me in the mail any day! If we get rid of sexual offenders in our government, churches, companies... that fixes a hell of a lot, doesn't it?

Names have been named, now what? The victims have banded together, now what? The corruption and impunity is out in the open, now what? The cover up has been revealed, now what? You have plenty of information that you are being ruled by death eaters and criminals, now what?

If you don’t think you know anyone with long covid what you really mean is that people are uncomfortable sharing their health status with you or there are people who have dropped out of your life (due to illness) that you haven’t checked up on.

Context: this speech is from SIR THOMAS MORE, a history written, as near as scholars can tell, in the early 1600s by 6 or 7 people including Dekker, Heywood, Chettle, Shakespeare, and Munday. It was never performed, because Jacobean England was a police state and it was banned by the censor.

Omg. WTF is Happening?@lalahaenzy.bsky.social

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

Seriously don't know how we're supposed to mentally survive this.

I think the big problem is that we’ve been taught that you’re supposed to somehow balance staying informed with being mentally stable right now, and I am here to tell you that’s wrong, you’re all supposed to be losing your goddamn minds right now, so good news everyone you’re doing great

Abolish ICE. There’s no reforming it. There’s no compromise. There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.
