I don't know who needs to hear this, but cops are not allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said. That is called murder when they do that. Some cops are working hard to convince people otherwise.

Never tell anyone at work anything about yourself. Make it all up. You never know who’s a snitch.

You can’t stop interviewing/job hunting in tech bc you’ll never know. You get fired 100x faster than you get a chance to interview.

Tech hiring process is a gigantic cesspool of bullshit and it shouldn’t take 10 interviews to decide whether a candidate is a fit or not. Y’all just like flexing your egos in front of candidates because you’re on the other side. Inevitably, bc of garbage tech culture, you’ll be on that side.

Pisses me off how frequently the interview process isn’t reflective of a candidate’s skills or abilities. We don’t work under this much pressure day to day, with people we never met before. The problems we solve are also incredibly different, even for “real life problem” interviews.
