Took Brian Branch one drive back from injury to do something that put everyone and himself in completely avoidable danger. What a fucking asshead.

My brother sent this to me last night. It's just perfect 💙 💛

I haven't seen this article get shared enough on here. Chuck Culpepper either has some deep family connection to Milwaukee or he's just the most observant eye around. NOTHING from a national outlet has come close to capturing our World Series experience here like this. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...

As usual, excellent swing decisions there for the most part in the bottom of the first. Really solid response to get a couple back immediately.

When Jackson Chourio hammers a single to drive in an insurance run EXACTLY at the same time as Alex Lifeson hits the crescendo of his solo on "The Camera Eye"

I fully expected it would be Harrison out if Woody made the WS roster, not Patrick, due to the top Rays hitters being righties. But a look at the Rays' splits make keeping the extra lefty makes a bit more sense if platoon is a major factor in the decision...

Basically, Diaz/Caminero are roughly equally dangerous against RHP/ LHP, and then basically the whole rest of the roster is significantly worse against lefties. For example: Simpson's OPS splits are .718/.633. Palacios .748/.478, Hicks .883/.504!

Granted, this means little to nothing if Harrison's stuff isn't there. I'm still surprised they didn't keep Patrick even with this in mind. But it is worth noting. (And it also probably means we still get a ton of Ashby/Romero in this series)

All numbers are for the 2026 regular season Yandy Diaz (RHB): .815 OPS vs. RHP; .780 vs. LHP Junior Caminero (RHB): .871 vs. RHP; .916 vs. LHP Jonathan Aranda (LHB): .837 vs. RHP, .678 vs. LHP Rays as a team: .751 vs. RHP, .678 vs. LHP

I was at Yount's 3000th and the walk-off balk and JR wasn't, but we experienced them together. He was at the 2008 clincher and so many other recent games and I wasn't, but we experienced them together. You were at games we weren't, but we all experienced them together. We are one. #LetsGoBrewers

It's official: I'm going to see the Milwaukee Brewers play in the World Series. I'm still in shock. Game 4, here we come. Anyone else going to be in Tampa next Tuesday?

In complete seriousness... Are any of you fellow Brewers fans thinking about flying to Tampa for games 3 &/or 4? I'm suddenly very serious about potentially doing just that

It's me. My mom got the baseball bug from my grandparents (who told me stories about the 57/58 World Series), so she was already predisposed, but the 80s Brewers just got her hook, line, and sinker. She was a massive Paul Molitor fan, FWIW.

You know what's fun about #Brewers fan base? There're a LOT of Brewers fans who inherited their fandom from their moms. In the 80s, especially, women and girls across Wisconsin were wild about the Brewers. There was ABSOLUTELY an undercurrent of horniness involved, but they became true ball knowers.

She was in the County Stadium stands when they filmed Major League, shouting her head off. She made sure Bob Uecker was the soundtrack to our summers.

She never got to see a game at Miller Park - she passed away on the final weekend of the 2000 season. She didn't get to see this team turn itself around and become a juggernaut. But I can feel her with me, and my brother, and my aunt, and all of us as we enjoy this incredible ride. #GoBrewersGo

I've told this story in several places, but not here (I think). In September 1992, she cleared her work schedule multiple days so we could go to every game of the Brewers-Indians series. Her doing that to make sure we saw Robin hit 3,000 together is one of my earliest core memories.

We randomly met Bud Selig at Gilles after a game once. We went to the Miller Park groundbreaking and turned over a shovel of dirt. She helped teach me to hit and throw and realized I needed glasses when six-year-old me couldn't see the County Stadium scoreboard.

the scariest pitcher in baseball

Micah@rincewind.run

"who the fuck are the rays and the brewers" you say well, let's start with a brewer you should all know this is Jacob "The Miz" Misiorowski - he looks pretty normal, right? well... pitches thrown over 100mph this season: The Miz: 1115 every other team: less than 750, as a team

I don't know who Mike Barnicle is, and I'm going to keep it that way. Also, Mike Barnacle lol

Aaron Schatz@aaronschatz.com

Mike Barnicle just said on MSNBC that the Brewers and Rays made the World Series because they don’t use analytics.
