I'm slowly approaching something that feels like a reasonable save system... data is stored as JSON-like structures, with per-datatype validation tables to validate that stuff has reasonable values and all mandatory values actually are in the files when loading them. #gamedev #indiedev #JRPG

Untitled Mech Game - Fog now works on terrain objects. In this custom built game engine, fog is a bit unusual. Rather than traditional "multiply by a fog color", it uses 32 palettes which are self-referential to a 256 master palette. This gives a subtle posterize style effect which I like. #gamedev

I've revisited NES Metroid the most for ideas which gave the inspirations on allowing you to tackle certain levels in whichever order you want as long as you have certain upgrades. So it was kinda sad seeing people tend to not finish the demo cause only close friends knows about this stuff. </3

added skirt for the armor, works pretty well without needing to add any bones. the rest of the armor will be done by retexturing the skin unless (i want to change the silhouette)
