I strenuously object to recipe websites requiring an email address and a newsletter "opt-in" to access a tasty-looking recipe. When did this change?! They don't need my damn contact info to share a recipe with me! I WILL copy, paste, and print the ones I want and put them in my big notebook. #sueme

Thought I was allergic to whatever pollen floated around Kanab, UT while I was on vacay because the symptoms would come and go for a day or so. But in the hours since getting home it's now obvious I have been nursing a cold. So glad that I made it safely home before it made its intentions clear!

I just bought a birthday giftcard to Cheesecake Factory for my cousin hoping there would be one near her because I left my phone in the car and couldn't check. Turns out the nearest one is 2 hours away from her. Gambled and LOST. Dammit!!!

I have read a lot of fantasy novels and series. But the 16-book marathon that is Robin Hobbs's "Fitz and the Fool" series is some of the best fantasy writing I have ever read. I bawled and bawled through the final chapters, with everything tied up so beautifully. Best. Reading. Ever.

The Skipper Bay walking trail along the Provo River Delta is by far my new favorite place to walk. I got there just after sunset tonight and it was just gorgeous. I see myself taking a LOT of pics out here!

Farewell to the best work bag I could ever have asked for. This little carry-on hauled my crap almost a quarter of a mile back and forth between the office and the parking lot every other week for over 2 years. It has earned its retirement.

Sadly, I don't know if I will like its replacement as much. I will never find the same thing again. The new is bigger, but lacks the side pocket which was ideal for carrying my water bottl. I think I can make a front pocket work, though. Old on the left, new on the right.
