Don’t allow the GOP to suppress your vote. Persons in New Hampshire who don’t possess a driver license may obtain a voter ID free of charge from the NH DMV. Students in this situation should take steps immediately to obtain the voter ID.

Paper ID is not the photo id required by NH as far as I am aware (I’ve done voter protection in NH for several elections).

Imagine if Democrats started finding ways to make it more difficult or illegal for seniors to vote.

At some point, we need to make voting as easy as paying your taxes. Because a state that makes it harder to vote doesn’t deserve your taxes.

It’s interesting that the government knows when you turn 18 and have to register for a potential draft, but then deny that you are a legal citizen when it comes to voting…

It's a lame self own that this is being celebrated by the right as breaking news. Yes, obviously an ID badge to any institution or business is not a right to vote. Those students still have their state issued/federal ID that they can register to vote with with.

Every time NYC elects someone awful, I have to remind people that there are 5 boroughs and Staten island is one of them. Please also remember that at least half of Queens is quite awful, and you-know-who was born there. Some of my beat friends live in Queens, the good part.

I remember when I was a student. We all lived at or around the Uni. They’ll have ID’s (Drivers licenses, Birth Certificates) proving they renter say they are and utility bill statements that can verify they live in the Poll area.

Scott Walker's very first move in Wisconsin was to make it illegal for University of Wisconsin students to used their state issued photo IDs at Polling Places. They have been doing this for Decades!

It’s more telling that the majority decided that allowing student IDs was a good place to apply the Purcell rule about changing voting rules too close to an election.

Cant tell if NH allows gun licenses to use as voter ID. Hopefully they are consistent.

In the UK, the right wing Tories introduced voter ID a few years ago, as in the US to make it harder for groups who don't typically vote for them. They excluded student IDs as being valid - but allowed all sorts of older peoples' documents - like travel passes.

That’s weird I mean student IDs are valid, especially if you’re voting on campus they can verify your identity based on that. Why do you even need a fucking ID? They could literally just don’t they have a list with your name on it just give them the address.
