Tennessee governor candidate Jerri Green just CALLED OUT Marsha Blackburn for avoiding a debate. “This is a job interview and everybody is seeing her for the COWARD that she is.” “Show a little backbone if she has one left and stop running into elevators, stop running from press and the airports.”

I promise you, there’s a new coalition emerging in American politics. And it’s emerging right here in the Florida governor’s race.

Top states to watch for Republican lame-duck gerrymanders: Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. NC’s GOP already adopted a resolution to enable passing new lame-duck power grabs and gerrymanders But if Dems break the Texas GOP trifecta, they could block lame duck power grabs by denying a quorum

thinkdifferently65.bsky.social reposted

If they lose power, expect Republicans in several states to strip powers from incoming Democrats, pass voting restrictions, and new gerrymanders. They did it after losing governors races in NC in 2016 and 2024, MI and WI in 2018, and KY in 2019. They preemptively did it ahead of losing IA this year

Georgia is one of the main states to watch for Republicans to redo their WI/NC playbook of using the lame duck session to entrench power after losing elections. New reporting on what they might do if they lose: www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Very often in the files you’ll see an email like this, that never has an answer. Epstein always answered his emails. When they are cut off or disappear, they have been removed. #EpsteinFiles

Gov. Beshear: I am living, breathing proof that Democrats can win anywhere, and we should be fighting everywhere. We have 3 southern Democratic governors and we're going to have a 4th when we elect Keisha Lance-Bottoms. This election is absolutely critical.

More in the piece, which I hope you read. But a key thing to remember is that while Trump is expanding automation in ways that align with the interests of the rich, he is making automation harder for safety net programs like Medicaid. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/automating...

Trump Accounts would allow corporations or their owners to make donations by zip code. So, for example, a company trying to set up a data center could give money to families in that region. This is the logic of the bribe state which Trump has enabled and supports. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Trump: "As far as data centers, we don't want to get controversial. The community that they're been built -- they're great, they give you a lot of money -- ask for a lot of money. Tell them to pay you $10,000, $15,000, $20k for everybody who lives in the community. They'll do it! You just gotta ask"

There was, and still is, a massive under tapped market for corporate resistance to this regime. All these companies fawned over Trump not due to dollars and cents but because their leaders preferred authoritarianism.

Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

What Jason Crow says. Indeed, isn't it obvious? How can a self-respecting country cede control over vital military systems in the middle of a war to a foreign drug addict? And how could this not be a defining issue in the midterm election? Yet US corporate media want to simply look the other way.

Bolsonaro had corrupt media on his side, Meta interference on his side, US propaganda operations, and his party's officials actively sabotaging public transport in Lula strongholds to prevent turnout. Yet he was still beaten by the power of voter turnout.

thinkdifferently65.bsky.social reposted

So how did Lula come from behind to defeat Bolsonaro? In short, turnout. Bolsonaro's vote share barely moved. But Lula banked millions of votes from those who didn't vote in the first round & won eliminated candidates' votes. A remarkable mobilisation. Second round turnout is usually below first.
