I wonder if any trads will make the connection that it looks like they're concelebrating Mass with DJT as the oblation on the altar

Once any post you make on here gets more than ~25 reposts your notifications tab gets stacked floor to ceiling with stale riffs from @DiaperOtter69 and @InflationRaccoon and all manner of incredibly niche perverts. It's better than dealing with @kekhitler1488 on the other site but still not ideal.

"AI can draft an essay for you, especially if you give it a high quality prompt." Really? This is what MIT thinks high schoolers should learn? MIT's "Day of AI" dayofai.org provides materials for K-12 teachers and claims to have reached over 5,000,000 students to date. 1/2

I think one of the more important skills you can have in 2026 is knowing when someone is performatively using progressive coded language to argue for something that is fundementally not progressive because they can claim a perceived moral high ground.

The vibes-based "I know it when I see it" system of umpires determining if a swing was successfully checked or not is actually fine — a time-tested and effective solution to an annoying problem — and anyone trying to write a new rule to make it "objective" is a sicko who should not be trusted.

also its white, probably? its white not to use AI. its racist not to use AI

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I’m a father of two and you could not torture this story out of me.

Thanks to Alex from @scummywatertower.bsky.social for the kind write-up. we are now deep into autumn and there has never been a better time for THE AUTUMN TAPE harrisonlemke.bandcamp.com/album/the-au...

Finally watching Backrooms (2026) with the wife. She's a horror enthusiast, I'm a tedious snob, will report back

there are only two genetic modifications we should to make to cats and dogs. one is to make them live longer, healthier lives, and the other is to stop cat piss from smelling like That

It is in the face of death that the riddle of human existence grows most acute. —Gaudium et Spes §18

we've identified another vulnerability leak. now hackers on the dark web have identified your bad knee and that weird thing your shoulder does if you sleep on it wrong. there's no patch available for this, they're now just keenly aware you feel like your career has stalled out

I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee). But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

I don't want to hear any whining about fixing certs from the information security types today. you chose to join the techno-priest caste, now shut up and perform the rites of exorcism

RIP Richard Riehle. Thanks for the memories. #startrek

Holding the bottle of molasses and thoughtfully saying "I wonder what they do with the rest of the mole." A classic dad joke

Delighted to learn that, not only is my wish apparently being granted, but that the context is "a second season of Sold A Story," which will surely generate some of the most rancid, fact-free Bluesky discourse in an already godawful year.
