the more I see of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the cooler I think it is and the less I want to play it, because it has so much extreme 2d platforming, a type of gameplay I really hate sucks because the rest of it seems awesome

Yeah basically EA ran them into the ground with bad decisions, then once TOR was gone they had the grounds to just disintegrate them based on some spreadsheets due to bad numbers that management caused. If Bioware had been allowed to just make Dragon Age / Mass Effects as they liked they'd be here.

I'm at the point where I trust an IGN review far more than "audience scores" because people are so fickle and hivemindy (not to mention the antiwoke hate campaigns) people are forcing themselves to hate things just to feel smart or included it's so stupid

Someone brought it up in my stream last night and it really feels like any general dislike towards Belmonts Curse are astroturfed. The game is so uniformly excellent I find it kind of unbelievable.
