ohhh I hate the google AI at the top of searches, it's a MESS I tried searching "synonym complimenting". y'know, like "flatter". It consistently gives the synonyms to compl*e*menting, with an "e". as in "going with". and it has the gall to say at the end not to confuse the two, like, ?????
