Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

it's great that we have AI in maps so I can know that the atlantic center mall is a "lively, popular mall with events," the exact way people are always describing that mall

the thing about this is i don't understand how many personal AI assistants everyone needs? i thought people were already asking claude to raise their children or whatever

they had 200 years to plan this and botched it so i think you should a free pass to live after that

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

The owner of a top BBQ joint in Texas decided to cut brisket, the top-selling item, from the menu rather than institute a $10 markup for customers. The decision was fueled not just by the skyrocketing price of brisket but by inflation.

I am often invited to climate-themed dinners where I have to specifically request a vegan option, because the event isn't naturally vegan, which is always interesting to me...

One weird thing about energy/climate academia is how many people choose to do lots of unnecessary and harmful stuff (fly lots, eat lots of beef, drive fossil vehicles lots, etc.). I get that we need policy and system change, but also, doesn't this it undermine credibility after a point?
