Absolutely incredible bike tour of Sydney from Sara Stace. If you don’t know her she is a force for change. While I sit around complaining she is out there changing things from the inside that leads to real change on the ground.

Don't forget your lights! 🔆 You must use cycle lights when riding on a public road, cycle path or public place between sunset and sunrise. Take a look at our cycle poster camcycle.org.uk/lights and get in touch if you would like copies for your employer or community space: contact@camcycle.org.uk

A train journey does not begin or end at the station platform. Convenient bike parking and easy access to the railway system are essential elements of a transport network that enables people to travel seamlessly from door-to-door.🧵

Meet Will, the Cambridge plumber who gets to many of his jobs by e-cargo bike. Will founded Veloplumb in 2023, with a simple idea: many plumbing jobs don’t need a van full of equipment. 'I really believe in it, it boosts mental health to be outdoors, exercising and of course doing some plumbing!

Before and after: 6 years ago, Utrecht restored the Catharijnesingel. Once filled in during the 1970s to make way for traffic, the historic canal now flows again around the old city, lined with pedestrian paths, bike lanes, and a park-like landscape.

Before pneumatic tires became standard equipment, inventors really thought hard about how to get a softer ride. Here's the Peugeot Lion from 1892.

Messing around with clocks every year "so it's safe for kids to walk to school" is yet another casual widespread acceptance that people driving cars won't do so safely

May I ask you to read and reflect on this article. My family come from Aberfan and I would have been in the school under the slag on that day had we not moved to the English Midlands. The community still fights for justice and for us to remember. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

As one of the ward councillors for Lockleaze, I wholeheartedly support the proposals to reduce the speed limit to 20 on Romney Avenue, Shaldon Road, Muller Road & Stapleton Road that are coming to this Thursdays Transport Committee.

Just had my flu jab. If you are in an at-risk group, please book yours now. We not only protect ourselves, but we ensure we are less likely to spread the virus to others, including those even more vulnerable than we are.

"Bike lanes are always empty!" Yeah, because bikes move through them quickly as opposed to getting stuck in gridlock like cars do. Well functioning infrastructure, should be empty MOST OF THE TIME. When it's not, it's a problem.

There are so many tragic examples like this. The potential consequences of distracted driving are obvious. brutal & devastating. We all know this. Why then, when people make the choice to risk others lives do we shy away from prosecuting them properly? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Most obnoxious Brummie of the day goes to this lad, who responded to my polite request to take their feet off the seats with a stream of invective. Evidently they can do what they like. I did speak to the guard, but they are busy getting the train to run on time. 1/2

Thrilled to visit Oxfordshire’s first of the new Quiet Lanes: filtered to motor traffic, safe for us cyclists and walkers and horse-riders. First time I have ever felt safe to cycle to the fabulous Rectory Farm: love supporting local businesses.

Too often, public transportation agencies think their responsibility begins and ends at the turnstile. Dutch railways have increasingly embraced the idea they are part of a door-to-door mobility system—one that includes walking, cycling, bike parking, and shared micromobility. youtu.be/ZuiyDEkyPW0

Is it Amsterdam? Copenhagen? No, it's Paris! After years of investment, the French capital has one of the best problems a city can have: bicycle congestion. So if Paris has done it, why wouldn't other cities follow? 📸 Such an amazing photo by @jbpssx.bsky.social

As someone who has lived with ME for nearly 40 years I can only agree. And the attempts to rename as CFS is part of that.

Here's today's column on the astonishing, ongoing mistreatment of people with #ME/CFS. Please spread it far and wide: the only thing which can break the media's wall of indifference is seeing an article about the issue go viral. Thank you. 1/2 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
