Pinned posts? Time for a proper introduction! I'm T.J., a full-time software engineer who also does a lot of stuff on the side. Anywhere between more webdev, art, gamedev, and so on.

I hope to one day have the confidence FedEx tracking must have, as it continues to claim that my package will arrive today despite still being halfway across the country.

Trying to read something and keep getting distracted by the overlay-spaced-out justified text and the fact that it repeatedly uses the wrong type of dash. I can't tell if it's actually poor readability or if having done print media in the past has ruined me.

I've been keeping Bluesky scrolled to this specific post. Every time I let myself get distracted and tab over, these Hertz reminds me not to doomscroll.

Liveposting my reaction to the multiple TTRPG systems I've been reading up on, except instead of Bluesky it's my friend's DMs. That's what friends are for, right?

The next Bandcamp Friday - a day where Bandcamp waives their share of proceeds and sends everything to the artist - is August 7th!

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

I did not remember putting this in my phone until I got an unexpected calendar notification but uh Happy anniversary to the hit horse_ebooks tweet.

Finally made some time to start working on art of my #destiny2 Guardian right as the announcement happens. Timing can be funny sometimes.

I haven't played D2 in a bit since I stopped having anyone to play it *with*, but that doesn't change the fact that over the course of nearly a decade I spent thousands of hours in this world. The raids, the stories, the community puzzles are all unforgettable memories that I'll carry with me.

Destiny 2@destinythegame.bungie.net

On June 9, 2026, we will be releasing our final live service content update for Destiny 2, Monument of Triumph, available to all players. 📰 For full details: bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026

see? here's the thing. A lot of people are like, the earth is fucked, it's beyond salvation, it's hit the tipping point, but time and time again we see that if we just fucking fixed the problem, it rebounds so incredibly fast. Imagine what could be done if people actually cared

as a culture we have really given "ideas" way too much credit. ideas are a dime a dozen. they happen all the time. the magic is way more in the doing, and the doing's diminished stature is linked to lack of respect for labor and, more recently, skill and expertise.

My D&D character has had an evil vampire copy of him looming for a while now, but he's going to be highly plot-relevant in the next few sessions so I made art to use for his token.

“I don’t like Bad Bunny because I can’t understand Spanish.” You are WEAK. Weeaboos have been jamming out to songs they don’t understand in Japanese for decades.

"what's the weather like outside?" *proceeds to stare at clock* "Ah yes, 2:40pm"

"Something that I have found difficult for non-artists to understand is that the ‘early messy stuff’ that non-arty folks insist can be ‘fixed by a human artist later’ is where the best work is done." True of every creative field. You can't start building halfway up; the foundation has to be sound.

This Week in Videogames - TWIV@thisweekinvideogames.com

We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier. Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder. thisweekinvideogames.com/feature/conc...

#ACUVAC currently only has about 400 wishlists, which is not enough to get picked up by Steam's algorithm. With Next Fest coming up, ACUVAC is going to have a playable demo! Hopefully that gives us a much needed push! Help ACUVAC by wishlisting + following! #indiegames #gamedev ▶️ s.team/a/2333940

Haven't played Destiny since December, but apparently that isn't enough to stop me getting sucked into the latest community puzzle. They're too much fun. Congrats to everyone who contributed, be it submitting pieces, helping verify data, or theorizing solutions.

5 years ago I was convinced moving off of my physical (colocated) servers into virtual servers was the play. Last week I completed moving everything back onto physical hardware, albeit on rented servers so I don't (currently) have the up-front commitment of a hardware purchase. How things change.

The final #pixelartvent post. All 24 images done! This is the first time I managed to stick to a daily art challenge (albeit not exactly "daily") and it was a ton of fun!
