"I don't think I've seen anything quite like this." Great new Starkville! @willmiddlebrooks.bsky.social joins me & @dougglanville.bsky.social to explain what got into the Red Sox, their deadline approach & lots more YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8oB... Spotify open.spotify.com/episode/7pW4...

Is that good?

Oh, what a difference a month can make: The Boston Red Sox entered the month of July with a 37-47 record, 13 games out of first place, and ready to sell. They went 21-4 in July, and enter August 6 games out of first place, sitting as the No. 2 wild-card team, and ready to buy.

I’m not letting last night’s drama distract me from the fact that the Red Sox have gone from being mathematically eliminated from the postseason to 7 straight series wins and in a position to be the top team in the AL come playoff time: youtu.be/cmn86ocvcOA?...

My kids have measles, I can’t afford gas or steak, I’ve got explosive diarrhea, and there was glass in the last batch of Pillsbury rolls I ate. But at least now, Ross Douthat is on 60 Minutes.

As Measles cases hit a 35 year high, as a senseless war rages on with no exit plan, as gas climbs to record highs, and the Epstein files remain secret, the U.S. Senate is holding a hearing today to yell at Dr. Fauci and again push horse dewormer on the American public.

Quick-hit thoughts/notes around the Patriots and NFL (Drake Maye-Jared Wilson begin critical QB-C partnership; "Coach" DeAndre Hopkins creates buzz; Kayshon Boutte's early statement at camp; Christian Gonzalez garners respect; Eli Raridon's chance etc.) www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...

My kids have measles, I can't breathe the air, I can't afford gas, and I have explosive diarrhea from a parasite RFK Jr. ordered the CDC to stop monitoring. But at least now the Saudis have a nuclear program.

Alex Bregman: .699 OPS, 10 HR, 2.4 WAR. 5/$175,000,000 Caleb Durbin: .699 OPS, 11 HR, 2.3 WAR. $796K, 2 more pre-arb years. I mean (swallows hard) You kinda gotta (clears throat) hand it to (takes uncomfortable sip of water like Marco Rubio in State of the Union rebuttal) ...Breslow?

Faking injuries is a scourge on this sport. Prison for injury fakers, that’s the only solution.
