“Congress in the 1980s wasn’t thinking about data sharing for targeted advertising.” But the Founders clearly supported private ownership of AR-15s. Got it.
there are in theory at least *some* legal boundaries on when companies can tell other companies all your business but Brett Kavanaugh is workin on fixin that real soon ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/salaz...

So our library's second branch is right next to animal control and I mean throw a rock and hit the other building. Imagining them getting called about a bear "It's outside the door! JUST LOOK OUT THE DAMN WINDOW DENNIS!"
Public libraries are becoming so popular even the bears have started trying to get cards. www.instagram.com/reel/DeftV9x...

i'm not over Alito saying we shouldn't count ballots that are mailed on or before Election Day but arrive shortly afterwards bc they can “radically flip” the “apparent outcome” cannot stress enough that, until all ballots are counted, there's no outcome to flip! ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/alito...

Just in time for the 2026-2027 vaccines, a new review shows that COVID19 vaccination significantly reduces the risk of severe illness and hospitalization across all age groups, including kids. Pregnant women were also protected, as were their babies. Don’t forget to schedule your vaccination!

Not so unlike American football, after all.
Alan Shearer: "When the referee goes back to VAR for Egypts goal & cancels it due to an interference at the start of play, but doesn't go back to VAR for Agentina's winning goal despite 2 interferences at the start of play... then we're watching a "theatre" not a football match.

@tomtomorrow.bsky.social I realize now that the Fort Knox visit was a shopping trip.
Paul Krugman pointed this out, too. No one held Reagan to account for inflation, either, probably because high inflation had been entrenched throughout the 1970s.
this is very funny because inflation was objectively much worse for both Carter and Biden I have a couple hypothesis but the main one is that people were unhappy with the other two for not doing enough to solve inflation but they are madder at Trump for causing it (tariffs, iran)
@petridishes.bsky.social Skewers the Florida US History Course Framework in her inimitable fashion. Just for fun, look at the linked Florida DOE document. Funny that the word smallpox doesn’t appear. www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...
Yes, yes. A thousand times yes.
I still genuinely loathe the pivot to video. I can read faster than you talk and don’t need to listen to your rambling before you eventually never even get to the point. And subtitles have made it even worse… I’ve already read ahead of what you’re saying, so just write it down
