I am sure people who lost their shirts on parumph land scams will line up for plots in the desert released by BLM.

The governor reiterated his desire for expedited release of federal lands for additional housing, adding “we have robust conversations going on with the Secretary of Interior," and "a good relationship with the federal administration and ability to communicate on a daily basis.”

Yeah I can't imagine Detroit commuters being OK with blocking as bridge project that would dramatically decrease their drive time.

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

Remarkable: Trump's deranged threat to block the bridge connecting Detroit to Canada is backfiring, giving Dems a big issue in 2026 races in Michigan, which could help decide control of Congress. Michigan Dems tell me they'll use this against Republicans big time: newrepublic.com/article/2064...

Raskin: "I want the whole country to look at this. This is the attorney general of the US whose job is law enforcement. We've never had a witness who has misunderstood our rules and been unable to conform his or her conduct to our rules before. Excuse me."

Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

The more I think about that conservative dem mayor of San Jose getting into the governor's race, the more I wonder if he is literally compromised in some way. It's a very strange decision. Someone is leading him into it imho. the jungle primary creates a hazard of minority rule, and spoilers help.

Wow, thanks NW Natural, I would love to get a rebate on natural gas for my (checks under floorboards) all-electric house that is ten yards from the nearest gas line!

What comes from pretending torture wasn’t torture.

‼️This famous photo from the Minnesota Tribune on Jan. 21 is from this incident, involving at least three of the same agents from Alex Pretti's killing. Thanks to the people replying who tipped me off to this.

“Just let us kidnap your neighbors,”they say. “Just let us terrorize the schools. Just be quiet about it. Don’t be so heated. Turn down the rhetoric and let us grab them. Just let us grab them. We have nothing else. We need to attack them and grab them and steal them. It’s all we have. Just let us.”

NEW from @justinrohrlich.bsky.social: “I’m not surprised this happened,” Ilhan Omar attacker Anthony Kazmierczak’s brother said. “Not at all. Unfortunately, he and my mother are both right-wing extremists.” "In my mind, he’s a piece of s**t," he added. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Very good. As painful as it is, his memory would be honored by flattening the Trump admin in court.

PBS News@pbsnews.org

The parents of Alex Pretti have retained a former federal prosecutor who helped Minnesota's attorney general convict the police officer who kneeled on George Floyd's neck of murder. https://to.pbs.org/3ZA2HfU

This seems oddly good and the Feds behaving normally. Hopefully it means we won’t see more bad incidents at the state hospital, which is now no longer in danger of losing an important Medicare status.

From @joshtpm.bsky.social "Trump’s ICE-fluffing MAGA army ... will get their footing. But they don’t have it yet. So it’s just critical for opposition elected officials and really everyone who cares about America’s future to be applying maximum pressure right now." good read. gift link.

talkingpointsmemo.comCan Dems Push MAGA and Its ICE Army Into a Disorganized Retreat?Big public and political fights often have the dynamics of military confrontations....

Republicans have lived in a post-democracy era for some time - in their ultra-safe districts, their voters show up and hire them year after year regardless of their behavior. Democrats face blistering criticism on even minor transgressions. Here is the result.

Senator Patty Murray@murray.senate.gov

Republicans gave ICE a blank check, funding untrained federal agents who've been attacking, detaining, & even killing Americans. Republicans have talked for years about government overreach—well, here it is. Now's the time for senators to prove they care about the Constitution.

This photo, file 468, from the Epstein files that includes Donald Trump has apparently now been removed from the DOJ release. AG Bondi, is this true? What else is being covered up? We need transparency for the American public.

It hasn’t been getting in the national media, but ICE has been wreaking havoc in two of Oregon’s most diverse areas - Washington County, and Woodburn down to Salem. Hillsboro - a major suburb and home to Intel’s largest factories - declared a state of emergency this week as well.

Welp. I built my second threads account up again, and started having some popular posts, and they just suspended me again for no reason. They are literally killing my account as soon as I make posts that are popular. Back to the personal diary that is bluesky, I guess.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.
