You don't believe in miracles? What if I told you I arranged to meet someone at 10 this morning, and both parties arrived at 10 sharp having correctly understood how to put our clocks back an hour?

I "liked" one thirst-trap photo of a medium-build furry guy today and now my For You is entirely fatfurs content. Can everyone please remember only to like stuff that I like if you never like anything I don't like? It's ruining For You for me

Gaming hot take: co-op games should have matchmaking & after each game ask how much you want to play with those people again, then use a recs system to find you new friends to play with.

Really not a fan of the "kink jars" meme. I fear it holds back new kinksters from learning that kinks don't come from a menu, they come from inside you. Kinks are ticklish spots. Some are more common than others, such as armpits, but if you only look in the common places, you might miss yours.

Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your CV? Typographer: It was bigger in the 1st draft because I set the kerning for a C glyph with a much bigger beak, but readers kept reading it as two words, so I closed it up. Interviewer: Thanks, and do you have any more examples of your work?

This is the best graph I've seen all day. It could only be improved if the "Chinese" node were "Chinese (simplified)" and the rightmost node were "Chinese (traditional)"

I highly appreciate this directed graph showing which language is used to indicate incomprehensibility in different languages (eg, β€œit’s Greek to me”)

Kinda disappointed that there was only one black person at the anti-racism gig last night, but it does kinda reflect Cambridge's demographics. There were more Asians, but that also reflects CB's demographics...

We don't have free access to firearms in the UK, but the local equivalent of firing a few shots to keep rents low is hanging the cross of St George in your front window.

Why has nobody drawn art where someone gets TFed into the con's cardboard cut-out for people to stick stickers on, for the duration of the con? I feel like there's an audience for that but the furry art market is very inefficient.

I am just getting ready to go to a work charity/networking event all afternoon, and I wish I were on my way to Pawsome instead... ideally with some buckets and a paddling pool in the boot like last year.

My subconscious seems to be obsessed with missing steps. A few times over the last few months I've been in large buildings in dreams (like hotels, department stores) that have staircases with steps missing, leaving one giant step you have to climb up or down. Nobody else in the dream finds it odd.

Could be related to my IRL building work I suppose: I've spent a lot of time recently climbing ladders where you have to skip a rung, and knee-high platforms that are just slightly too high to take in stride.

Do favours for allotment gardeners. They all have way too much veg and/or flowers for their own needs and are looking for any excuse to give away the excess.

Yesterday I spent two hours shifting heavy blocks around and swam a k. Took my blood pressure right after getting up this morning and my pulse was 51. Might be getting a teensy bit overtrained.

I would file this under "don't ask questions because you want to know the answer; ask questions for the side-effects". Forcing people to measure their own behaviour against what they claim to value is a worthwhile side-effect.

TIL that while I have often fantasized about having an orgy as a birthday party, it's a lot of work that I am just not ready to invest the time into. And I only have so many birthdays left before "a bowel movement and eight hours' sleep" sounds like a great way to celebrate them.

Stretching the five-second rule today. I stood on something in my bare feet. Picked it up and realised it was a bit of pistachio I was eating last night. Om nom nom. Putting my foxy immune system to good use :-)

It's hard to watch WarGames today knowing that the only part of Matthew Broderick's role that hasn't been replaced by AI is getting caught in his bedroom with his shirt off.

90 years ago, Parliament responded to the rise of Oswald Mosley's Blackshirts by passing the Public Order Act, which banned political uniforms, private militias and the threat of force for political objects. The debates make very resonant reading today. Here's the Liberal Robert Bernays. (Short 🧡)

The other day I banged my knee and bruised the kneecap. It's a little tender but not really aching or sore. Last night I had two separate dreams (with a waking period between them) that I had broken off either half or all of my kneecap and it was freely sliding around under my skin.

What's weird is: in both dreams it was the left knee, but the one I actually hurt was my right. I wonder if this is a common experience: minor injuries enter your dreams (like how other stimuli often get incorporated into the dream) but mirrored.

A lot of rubber/goo suit TF has the suit "taking over" the wearer very abruptly. This reveals the true fantasy of rubber kinksters. There ought to be more realistic art where a rubber suit tries to engulf you but it still takes 20 minutes and a helper to stop it getting bunched at the waist.

SUP at Milton Country Park again today. Lake is so low the gulls that look like they're sitting on the water are really standing on the bottom. Most of the lake now too shallow for any watersports, incl the launch jetty.
