My stance is that you come to my door, you say trick or treat, you get candy. Age is not a requirement for candy, being at the door saying trick or treat is.

If you come to my door during trick or treating hours, I'll offer you candy. I'm not paying attention to your age or costuming, I'm following the traditional Celtic rituals for keeping the dead from invading my home.
