I just got back from early voting, I did the damned thing.

Does anyone else struggle with the sort of insecurity where you have to go through a period of hating your art after the initial honeymoon period of "wow I did that?" excitement wears off, or is that just me?

There are people, even some trans people, who think that we can give up sports to appease bigots. That if we give up on sports, this all goes away. That is a lie. I have reported on this for years, and EVERY state that passed a sports ban as a moderate compromise has gone on to pass worse.

Gender Affirming Care, when I came out in 2011 nothing was covered by health insurance so it was all out of pocket expense, I had to be diagnosed with a made up gender identity disorder to get hormone replacement therapy, surgeries were extremely rare and expensive.

I knew we were in trouble when the response from cis people to the rise of political transphobia was "this only affects a tiny minority of people." It was a signal that they weren't going to refute the pseudoscience or attacks and instead just stop advocating for trans equality entirely.

I just saw an article about a trans woman that was deported to Africa despite not knowing the language, not knowing anyone, and not even being from that country. It was horrible. The comments were horrible too... These people really, genuinely hate us with such a passion that theyve lost humanity.
