I want to tell the kid who obsessively read the Star Trek encyclopedia that one day he will be eating ice cream in Puerto Rico with the people who wrote it.

Hanging out with these friends fills my heart almost as much as these giant ice creams filled my belly. @mikeokuda.bsky.social @tyranicus.net @jessibinnix.bsky.social #StarTrekCruise

My dad, who has been a registered Republican for 60 years, is voting for Josh Shapiro for governor and Janelle Stelson for US House this election. This is big. Despite how much he hates Trump, I couldn't convince him to vote for Clinton, Biden, or Harris.

RIP to a pretty cool dude. I had the great fortune to see him several conventions over the years, and he was always genuinely kind and friendly. I will particularly remember his Q&A panel on the cruise this year where he gamely tried to answer questions despite not being able to hear anything.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

People get really angry at you if you're mean to farmers. Accusations of being out of touch and claims that we need them to win. Meanwhile, the president of the United States can say shit like and seemingly suffer little to no consequences.

Trump: Atlanta is a hellhole

The Muppet Christmas Carol. I was 6, and after I saw it, I annoyed my family all Christmas break that year by singing the opening song over and over.

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

Democrats should really feature these creeps their extensive ties to this administration.

If I had a pound for every time Orla Brady had to help an artificial lifeform evade Synth Hunters, while a super intelligence wants to kill all organic life, I’d…well, you know the rest.

I stongly dislike that DoorDash automatically generates descriptions for everything with AI. Even when they are accurate (which is not always the case), they aren't providing any more information than you can glean from the name of the dish, since that's literally all it's doing.

The Democratic candidate for PA state house in my district sends handwritten thank you notes to all her donors. (At least, I assume she does, and my $25 wasn't somehow special.)

I ran the seafood department of a grocery store for about 6 months. It was a small store, and I was the only employee in the department, and they promised it could turn into a full time salary position as seafood manager if I did a good job and got profits up. I did not do a good job.
