🚨 🇺🇸 Rep #JudyChu@chu.house.gov :
After #ICE illegally locked me out last week, I finally got into the #AdelantoICEfacility.
What I saw was horrifying: #LA workers held in filthy, inhumane conditions, cut off from lawyers, family, and basic necessities‼️

‘The Tyrant Test’
A leader who uses military force to suppress his political opposition ought to lose the right to govern.

We now live in a country where men without a uniform or badge, but wearing gang clothing and face masks can grab any person and take them away. Is this really our America?
For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.
We used to be able to go for _days_ without a new domestic or international crisis but no, no, voters thought it would be more exciting to bring a mushbrained sedition-backing convicted felon promising concentration camps.
It is time for state and local governments to arrest masked officers who won’t produce warrants and who have no proof someone is undocumented.
Kidnappers should be arrested and indicted and tried for kidnapping and serve the many years such sentences carry.
Schatz: People are seeing what chaos really looks like. We are on the brink of some very dangerous developments in the Middle East, and we have chaos inside the US—not chaos the federal government can’t control, but chaos the federal government is, in some instances, precipitating or making worse.
The next No Kings protest is set for July 17.
Numbers are coming in and it looks like Saturday’s No Kings” protest was closer to 11 million participants than 6 million.
Let’s make it 15 million 😎
Is this like back in the early 2000s when publicists used to say their client went to the hospital for “exhaustion” when it was a drug overdose?
Is “allergic reaction” the new “exhaustion”?
"I'm happy to report I'm just fine. I lost a button. But I'm gonna sleep in my bed tonight, safe, with my family... At that elevator, I was separated from someone named Edgardo... Edgardo is in ICE detention and he's not going to sleep in his bed tonight."
They pacify him like he’s a toddler who didn’t get a nap. When he leaves they get down to business. The world is moving on without us b/c we elected a malignantly narcissistic man child with the intellect of a door knob & the attention span of a gnat. Not sure we’ll ever regain our world standing.
This isn't just about California. It’s about how we treat our fellow human beings. It’s about how we treat families. It’s about who we are.
I stand with @padilla.senate.gov
Padilla: The President, VP, and their allies have continued to call all the protesters out there insurrectionists. Yes, this is the same man who provoked an actual insurrection at our capitol on January 6.
Moulton: It turns out the U.S. Army is not great at doing Soviet-style or North Korean-style parades, because that’s not what people sign up to do…
Imagine how much veteran housing you could build for $40 million. You could help a lot of vets with that kind of money.
And this parade helped nobody.
Acosta: He can try to roll tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue and all of that—Hegseth can show up in a camouflage tie he got at the Gap—but at the end of the day, the real American strength, the real American might that was on display over the weekend, was in those No Kings protests across the country.
Tina Smith on Mike Lee: "I went to him and I said, 'Your message on social media showed the image of the man who killed my friend ... and your message is, this is what happens? You need to take responsibility and accountability ...' And I wanted him to hear that from me directly."
SCOOP: The "Appeal To Heaven" flag, a popular symbol for Christian nationalists that was waved by January 6 rioters, was raised over the Small Business Administration headquarters last week.
