I'm not sure how much more blatant it can get that these guys are looting the federal government and then pointing over there and saying "look what THOSE BLACK PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH!!!" bsky.app/profile/atru...

Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

Her "immigration status" is that she's been a US citizen longer than either Melania Trump or Elon Musk. The Democrats SHOULD use this opportunity for 100% solidarity with one of their own, and throw the fucking kitchen sink at Trump and his Republicans. I doubt they will but would LOVE to be wrong.

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education. We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/kQdKbY1

We will see what happens in November, but forcefully telling elected officials that you will punish them for limiting voting access is exactly the way to go.

Happening now in TX: Voters in battleground Tarrant County are telling GOP local officials what they think of their plan to cut 30% of voting locations this year “Nothing you can do can stop us from removing you in November”

The US president declaring himself the greatest in history, above Lincoln and Washington, would have been considered a secular form of blasphemy as little as two years ago - and a sign of profound mental instability besides. Today it’s nothing. We’re supposed to take it in stride.

A speed camera’s not going to let you out of a ticket because you have a thin blue line sticker or a bumper sticker for a conservative talk radio host. It’s also not going to shoot you as part of a routine traffic stop.

are any of the 'ohhh sorry is REAL PERSON too much for you apple polishing hall monitor HR ladies' types gonna exhibit any contrition or reflection that the guy with the very obvious red flags did in fact turn out to have extremely serious weaknesses as a candidate?

i will not forget the men who downplayed the earlier allegations of abuse against platner and said accepting them was just the price we had to pay to gain control of the senate. i hope they feel like fucking assholes.

The Supreme Court strikes down Trump's attack on birthright citizenship. By a 5–4 vote, it holds that the 14th Amendment guarantees citizenship to children born of unauthorized and temporary immigrants. Roberts and Barrett join the three liberals. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

Yes every time I find myself saying “they’re repealing the Civil Rights Era” I gulp and realize we’re actually quite close to going much farther back than that.

Yes, Congress should be able to do these things. A court this contemptuous of Congress deserves to be packed by Congress, not only to correct these disastrous precedents but also because Congress needs to show both Article II and Article III who’s boss.

Please remember that white Americans have historically been very willing to say particular neighborhoods effectively belong to black people, and even to site public housing and other public services in those areas. They’ve been happy to restrict new market-driven development to affluent areas.

Platner very much is a discernible type, but it’s not “flawed but basically decent working class joe.” It’s “prep school creep with a sadistic streak and an ironclad confidence that it will never catch up to him.“
