Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course. – George

Sorry but as a dual citizen I am *twice* as patriotic as you pleb single citizens. Only one country to be patriotic for? So basic.

Duel citizenship has always been a little problematic for me. How can someone swear their allegiance to both, or more. Admittedly tho, I’ve game played my exit if MAGA ever took over.

My Dutch wife remains astonished at how many adverts in the UK are for various forms of gambling. It's not subtle and incredibly noticeable if you're not used to it.

With the back to back loses by both Vučić & Bolsonaro, it's important to ignore them completely and continue to write articles about the unstoppable rise of the far-right across the world.

On one hand, yes the UK should be prepared for disasters, both natural and man-made. We just watched (probably Russia) attack supermarket supply chains in Europe. You can't just assume you'll be able to pop to Big Tesco and get food, sorry.

On the other hand the complete lack of consideration for HOW people should do this is so incredibly British. Just store a bunch of stuff, with no practical advice or concept of how that works in practice. Sure, thanks. It's as bad as Protect & Survive, it's fantasy stuff that ignores reality.

In England, no women aged 20 to 24 died of cervical cancer between 2020 and 2024, according to a study published in The Lancet. Researchers link it to the HPV vaccine.

By the way in order to "have enough..water" for three days means 2 litres of water per. adult per. day, so 6 litres of water per. adult. In a house of 4 you'd need to find space to store 24 litres or just a little over 6 gallons water, which you would need to refresh regularly.

Thank god the rock-ribbed manly titans of unrelenting belligerence keep winning elections, can you imagine if the sappy hippies had won.

Same as with the Labour clowns who reported the GPEW, charge the lot of them with Wasting Police Time.

Reform have got headlines for "reporting ITV to the police" saying they 'engaged in a form of psychological warfare' by undercover journalism (leading to several councillors resigning). "It was unclear which police force, or forces, Reform has made the report to" pressgazette.co.uk/news/reform-...

Bristol Greens call on Labour to Condemn Jackdaw Gas Field Decision Bristol’s Green MP and Councillors have called Bristol Labour MPs and Councillors to publicly condemn the Government's decision to approve the Jackdaw gas field and call for a renewed commitment to tackling the climate emergency.

The UK & Europe have the opportunity to become the first major post-oil economies. We need real leadership and committed action to transition to renewables and deprecate oil & gas in the next ten years: instead we're getting industry lobbyists and more gas & oil infrastructure.

Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cw...

The heatwaves this year killed 2877 people. A government that was put it's people's lives first would in fact care about the environmental impact of fossil fuels. Like you said, ideology is OK only when there are people alive to follow it.

Have you ever thought about how your computer adds and subtracts? It takes a lot of hardware to handle floating-point numbers like 12.34. I opened up Intel's 8087 math coprocessor chip from 1980 to see how it works...
