I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to vote for Scott Wiener over Connie Chan if you live in SF and want to see the city further transform into a transit/bike/pedestrian first city with denser housing for residents at every income level, while strongly taking on MAGA & getting shit done.

The juxtaposition of watching the WNBA finals featuring incredible Black women playing at the highest level & then getting Caitlin Clark commercials is . . . something

11h

Look, I’m not stupid. I understand that Clark raised the WNBA profile, helped bring in new fans & a better TV deal. But as we see in these playoffs, the WNBA is so much more than 1 player.

Go Valks! Let’s goooooooooooo!

That challenge stopped all Valks momentum.

Kiah Stokes an absolute beast. Defense. Blocks. Rebounds. And 3s!!

Go Valks! Let’s goooooooooooo!

Everyone is cold from distance. That’s what 2 cross-country trips will do. Players are exhausted.

Nice aggressive play early but Valks committing too many fouls.

Drawing Angel Reese into committing fouls is smart. Good work.

Darin Ruf thought that was not a swing. Same for Wilmer Flores.

Also a reminder that the MLB rule book does not define a “check swing” or “swing”

Why is it called a hit-and-run and not a run-and-hit?

Natalie Nakase —what can you say? She got them ready in every possible way. They shut down Angel Reese & scored enough to win. What a series. #GoValks

THAT was Valkyries basketball. Reese was a non-factor. GSV moved the ball, took better shots. Cut down on the ticky-tacky fouls but otherwise a great 1st half.

I love Angel Reese’s game. An absolute force on both sides of the ball. But the constant complaining to the refs is . . . not good. #GoValks

Oh the Warriors are going to be baaaaaaaad this season.

12 point lead with 3 minutes left and Dubs went absolutely cold, committed stupid fouls, took ill advised shots. That's a lot of deja vu from the last few seasons.

I'll tell you what -- Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase would've called timeout halfway through that collapse and stopped the damage.

Sexy defense is sexy

Obligatory post complaining about Joe Davis and John Smoltz and yearning for Jason Benetti on the play by play

@marksimon.bsky.social I'm getting a security warning when I click on the link to SIS's website to see awards

Can’t win if you don’t score. #GSValkyries

The Dream are on another planet right now. Valks swarming defense is failing & Dream insane shots going in from every angle.

What are you gonna do when the Dream are playing this well? Time to go back to the video room & game plan for game 4.

Can’t win if you don’t score. #GSValkyries

If regular season Salaun is back— that’s huge.

Macklin Celebrini is that guy. Wow. #SJSharks

If recent history is any guide, the White House Correspondents' Association will throw a big party in Trump's honor to commemorate the demolition of the WH press room.

The New York Times@nytimes.com

President Trump has pushed to move briefings out of the White House press room. Aides say he wants an indoor swimming pool instead. nyti.ms/4eoW3AV

I’m very concerned, gravely concerned that Susan Collins is a scheming, right-wing liar.

Game 2 of the #WNBAFinals. Go Valks!!!

This is very bad. Valks will have to regroup & have a different plan for Game 3. Because this ain’t working.

Valks are exhausted. They may really come to regret agreeing to move up Game 3 to Wednesday so the game could be at State Farm Arena.

Game 2 of the #WNBAFinals. Go Valks!!!

Just one turnover after another for the Valkyries in this game.

The was ugly ugly basketball by the Valkyries in the 3Q. Woo boy.

Game 2 of the #WNBAFinals. Go Valks!!!

This is stressful! Tight game. Dream defense much more aggressive tonight. #Valkyries
