I'm curious about a lot of things. Never enough books. Love b&w photography and art. Oh, and by the way, I have a thing for lighthouses. NO POLITICS 🚫

Hookland has a lot more Fully-grown Changelings than other places Nokes. You can’t be a decent detective in the county if you haven’t got a tolerance for the unconventional, for the weird. Mind you, I’d say you can’t be a decent human without acceptance for diversity. – #DICallaghan

#TombTuesday Small but perfectly formed 🥰 The diminutive Poulnabrone dolmen in the Burren of western Ireland, seen in summer 2023 with an Alpine carpet of wildflowers at its base💐 Did the original Neolithic builders ever think their family tomb would become world famous? 📷 My own

This ethereal, translucent silk nagajuban (long undergarment) is dyed with a design of a female ghost who peers through the window of a house, floating above autumn grasses in a long white burial robe.

Year of Space Facts: Week 43/52 🔭🧪🛰 The sky is blue during the day, sunsets are reddish—on Earth. On Mars, it is the opposite! Earth's atmosphere is mostly gas, and the color is driven by Rayleigh scattering. On Mars, there is more dust and less gas, causing Mie scattering instead. 📸 NASA/JPL

Early stroll. The moon is earth’s reading light. I imagine sewing those fallen leaves into a shirt for Jack O’the Hedge. The emptiness of the empty house. A puddle in the shape of a diplodocus. Old footprints in old concrete.

I carry the papers into the shop. I race to open the bundles before the shopkeeper passes me the scissors. I fail. The shopkeeper’s colleague says ‘Another day’ then shows me where she cut her finger slicing papaya. The shopkeeper wishes me luck as she gives me my lottery ticket.

This fantastic mausoleum is the 'Kennedy Aisle', built c.1602 and once attached to the old parish kirk at Ballantrae. It holds a place in the tale of internecine rivalry and retribution among branches of the Kennedy family, to rival any plot in Game of Thrones. #Scotland #History

Goodnight from Stephanie Ellis, trying to read the story under the headline: ‘THE DEVIL KILLS IN HOOKLAND’ from across the tram. Goodnight from Jack Belford, following the paths in Long Wolver Woods gilded electrum by the last of the Hunter’s Moon. Goodnight from Hookland.

Some will tell you that it's a carving of Stay Below. Nonsense. It's clearly a representation of Gedalip. People get lazy with their monsters, don't focus on the details. I mean, have you ever heard of a Stay Below with two tongues? No, you haven't. It's a Gedalip. – Lou Ash, 1982 #VOH

Come the season of the dead, come the commodification of the most tepid and tawdry stereotypes of the witch. We are not your plastic masks. Not your nylon conical hats. Not your acrylic green nails. We are the power to nudge the world. – #EmilyCBanting, 1982 #WitchSky

#theBeeAt3 Basic bee facts every day at 3pm. 69. If you are lucky enough to have #solitarybees in your garden - LOOK AFTER THEM! They build small solitary nests in cavities in the ground/timber/walls, fly for only a few weeks, don’t swarm and are superb #pollinators. #bees #nature #gardens

Children without a manglewurzels find other beets or squashes to carve into spirit lanterns for Mad Punkle night. Those with newfangled pumpkins carry them along the lanes like glowing orbs in some coronation procession for ancient kings and queens. – Joanna Vickers, 1982 #VOH

I love it when the clocks go back. I love the falling leaves, and the rain, and the chance to unpack all my sweaters and socks. I love lighting candles and incense. I love the windows seen from outside, where the shades of the past year cling to the walls and whisper their age-old secrets.

#FromOneLine The streets are full of ghosts. I know because I'm one of them. Have been since I was murdered in 1757. On this street actually. Most people don't even know we're here but there are a few who can see us. You can tell because they are the ones who try to avoid us.
