This is a car ad from 1985. There's a shot of a petrol pump in it... sigh. www.facebook.com/share/v/1BxF... #auspol

Alternet: Sen. John Hickenlooper demanded Trump personally reimburse taxpayers for the $16 million spent on the Reflecting Pool failed presidential vanity project. Hickenlooper argued the no-bid contracts & rushed timeline caused the fiasco & urged Congress to investigate. #ProudBlue #Pinks #SheShed
Bloody hell, the wailing & gnashing of teeth by the so-called "investors" about the impact of the CGT change is painful. None of the changes affect assets before FY2027. CG before then are grandfathered under old rules. It was always going to require consults and tweaks. Which was announced. #auspol

Hey @vicgovernment.bsky.social it's been 48 hours and your Service Victoria app can't display my licence or ID. System unattended because it's a public holiday? Yes, it worked before the weekend, yes, I've restarted my phone, it's your end, fix it. Unacceptable that a basic form of ID is broken.

If the ALP government is smart (debatable) they will use this crisis to do two things: * Use our gas to negotiate diesel/jet/petrol supplies to where we export that gas. * Apply a 25% flat profits tax on the export gas industry, discounted to a flat 15% when selling to the markets in step 1. #auspol
With all the blather about fuel, the govt set up Minimum Stockholding Obligations in 2023. www.dcceew.gov.au/energy/secur... The current stockholding is reported weekly here: www.dcceew.gov.au/energy/secur... As of last week we had: 36 days of petrol, 29 jet fuel, 32 diesel. #auspol
For everyone worrying about fuel: 1. The ALP government set up the "Minimum Stockholding Obligations" in 2023. They increased it last year. It's a requirement for fuel storage *on-shore*. 2. The current holdings are reported here: www.dcceew.gov.au/energy/secur...

I think this interview needs to be run again over the next 24-48 hours. This is Angus trying to explain why wages going up is bad because you pay more in income tax. #auspol youtu.be/Sruq3eWt38g?... thedailyaus.com.au/author/billi...
